Items to be need:

Wool: complete baby set 400 grams.

Baby Beanie/Hat - 70-80 Grams #4 DK Weight OR Medium Weight 4 ply(16 stitches= 4 inch)

Guage: 4 Ply wool is (4 single crochet x 4 Rows  =1 inch) with

Hook sizes: 4.0mm / G-6

Pattern Gauge:4 single crochet x 4 Rows =1 inch with Hook sizes 4mm OR (G-6)


Crochet Baby Beanie Details

1-2 years Baby Beanie Height: 7 inches/ 18 cm

Hat Circumference: 16- 16.5 inches/ 40-42 cm

Adult Medium & Large: 18-20 inches:                   9-10 inches

More sizes follow the instructions foundation chains.

Newborn-               chains 50 = 11-12 inches

0-3 months –          chains 54 = 13-14 inches

3-6 months-            chains 56 = 14-15 inches

6-12 months-          chains 60 = 15 inches

1-2 years-               chains 64 = 16 inches/

Child (3-10 years)- chains 68 = 17-18 inches

Teen Adult Small-  chains 72 =  18- 20 inches

Medium & Large-    chains 80 = 20-22 inches


Make Ribbing Hat/Beanie:

Color B:

Start from Ribbing, and make chains 64, length 16 inches/ 40 cm,

Don’t twist the chains; do slip st to join into first ch.

Row1- ch1 we don’t count, make hdc in each ch around, do slip st into hdc. (hdc 64)

Row2- ch2 don’t count,*make Front Post dc in the next st, Back Post dc in the next st*,

Repeat From * to * around, do slip st into first Front Post dc. (64 sts)

Row3- ch2 don’t count, *make Front Post dc into Front Post and Back Post dc into

Back Post*, Repeat from * to * around, do slip st into first Front Post dc. (64 sts)


Adding Pattern:

Change Color A:

Row1- ch2 don’t count, make dc in each st around, do slip st first dc, (dc 64)

Row2- make ch2 don’t ,*make FP dc into dc st (see special stitch-1), make

Hdc (special stitch-2) into next dc st*, repeat from * to * around, do slip st join

Into FP dc st. (64)

Row3- ch1 don’t count, *make Hdc (special stitch-2) into FP dcmake FP dc into

Change color B:

Row7-8: Repeat and Follow Row 3 & Row 4 of hat.

Change color A:

Row9-11: Repeat and Follow Row 3 & Row 4 of hat.

Change color B:

Row12-13: Repeat and Follow Row 3 & Row 4 of hat.

Change color A:

Row14: Repeat and Follow Repeat and Follow Row 4 of hat.

Measurement Approx include ribbing- 6.5 inches/16.50 cm

Row15- ch1 don’t count, *make hdc 2 together around top of hat, slip st.

Row16- ch1 don’t count, make hdc 2 together around top of hat. Slip st. fasten off

Making tie lace:

Make chains 70, do slip st in each ch across, and then make 2 pom pom,

Finishing: use needle, insert the tie lace into top of row 15, and pull the lace to tight the

Top of hat, knot and sew pom pom on both of edging tie lace.

 Finish off and weave all ends.

1st Leg:

Row1- ch1 don’t count, *make Hdc (special stitch-2) into FP dc, make FP dc into

Hdc st (see special stitch-1),*, repeat from * to * across in 40 sts, at the end decrease

the last st, Slip st join into hdc st.(40)

Row3-5: Repeat and follow Ribbing Row 2 of leg cuff. Slip st.

Measurement Approx. from crotch include ribbing -10 inches/ 26 cm

Fasten off Weave all ends.

2nd Leg:

Make 2nd leg, Repeat & follow same pattern as we have done in the first leg.

Make Tie Lace:

Chains 180-200, make slip st in each ch across, fasten off 

Finishing: in the wrong side sew and join the middle space between 2 legs in the crotch,

and then insert tie lace into pants waist ribbing. Weave in all ends.
