Here i teach u the best way how to make or create Brim Hat with crochet.this is my first crocheted brim hat.
it is very easy to work, i used only double crochet in this hat, when completed the hat with a fit gauge, then make the brim.i think you like and appreciate the hat.

ABBREVIATIONS

ch = chain

dc = double crochet

rnd = round

sc = single crochet

slst = slip stitch

st = stitch

sts = stitches

hdc= half double crochet

SPECIAL NOTES

The first stitch of ch3 is always count a double crochet stitch.

i used worsted 4 ply (16-20=4 inches


size:   12 Year Boy HAT

pattern:               

Rnd 1:      With the Blue color yarn, make a circle. Ch 3, 12 dc in circle.   Join to first dc  with a slst. (12 dc)

Rnd 2:      Ch 3,1dc in same st,2dc in each stitch around, join with slst to first dc in round. (24 dc)

Rnd 3:      Ch 3, 2dc in first st, 1dc in next st, repeat(dc, 2dc in next st)around, join with slst to first dc in round. (36 dc)

Rnd 4-11:  Ch 3, 1 dc in each st around, join with slst to first
            dc in round.(36dc)

Rnd 12:    At the end of the last row we started brim.

BRIM

To starting the Brim, count over from the back seam (where you fastened off)16 stitches and join Blue yarn to the back loop only (see picture ) of the 16th stitch.  The 16th stitch counts as the first stitch. Then follow the pattern.

Brim:

round 1.   increase round; work ch1,2hdc in 1 stitch and 1hdc in the next 2 stitches.across.do a sl st, slst in the next stitch, turn.

round 2.   work ch1, 1hdc in each stitch across  do a sl st, sl st again in the next stitch, turn.

 round 3.   increase round;  work ch1, 2hdc in 1 stitch and 1hdc in the next 2 stitches across.do a sl st, sl st again in the next stitch, turn.

round 4.   work ch1, 1hdc in each stitch across  do a sl st around the hat.cut the yarn.weave in end. fasten off
