Crochet Baby Collar Jacket Making with pockets/Crocheted Baby Boy Pocket...

Crochet Coat jacket:

We are making today a baby coat jacket cardigan with pockets and collar., full pattern with hat and pants showing all links and pictures below.

In the project I am telling u about my new pattern cardigan or jacket. We are making size for the jacket 6-12 months. This baby cardigan working normal worsted weight  4ply yarn ,it is used for any gauge. In this item we are using 2 colors yarn, I think it is the best color for baby boys and girls. It’s very easy to work, now a days winter season going I think it’s the best idea for you have to choose for little ones and him/her to protect in cool weather.

discussing about my new project (the baby jacket cardigan sweater). I want  to tell you it’s my fast and easy idea for beginners crocheter who want to learn and make the baby cardigan, I have a lot of fun to crochet the jacket type baby items, it is very easy to making and you can change the size in others as you want to make. I am working beautiful hat and booties to the same pattern, I think all of you my friends you will like the items, i wish you also try to make it.

I will and do the pattern in my easy way to explain about the pattern first I made the back side and then the both front sides and left and then make the sleeves. When we completing all my parts separately, then join all the parts into the wrong side of the jacket, and then work for the neckband and button band both sides, I am telling you that I am using the crochet needle for the sewing,

I think it is the best way to crochet the baby cardigan. In this pattern we add very simple and easy (half double crochet into back loop and also add front and bake post)for the bands and borders,

Item to be need:

Aquamarine color A worsted yarn 4ply (16-20 sts = 4inches)

Gray color B worsted yarn 4ply (16-20 sts = 4 inches)

 Crochet needle

 Matching Buttons

Hook size. 4mm  G/6

Special stitch:   half double crochet into back loop

Size: Baby size 6-12 months

Gauge 8 hdc x 6 Rows = 2 inches

Length From top to bottom : 14 inches

Chains 26

Round1: make 1 hdc into 3^rd ch, 1hdc in each ch across, turn. (24)

Round2: ch1, hdc into back loop same st, make 1 hdc into back loop across to end, turn. (24)

Round3-9: do and continue the same work as round 2, turn. (24)

Now in my next round we are making pock border into middle 16 sts.

Round10: ch1, hdc into back loop same st, 1 hdc into next 3 sts, change color B, make 1 hdc in each next 16 sts, change again color A, and make 1 hdc in each last 4 sts, turn.(24)

Round11: ch1, hdc into back loop same st, 1 hdc into next 3 sts, change color B and make *front post into next st, back post into next st*, repeat from * to * into 16 sts, change color A, make 1hdc into last 4 sts, turn.(24)

Round12: ch1, hdc into back loop same st, 1 hdc into next 3 sts, change color B and make *front post into front post, and back post into back post *, repeat from * to * into 16 sts, change color A, make 1hdc into last 4 sts, turn.(24)

We are making separate pocket piece for the jacket.

Chains 18,

Round1: make 1 hdc into 3^rd ch, 1hdc in each ch across, turn. (17)

Round2: ch1, hdc into back loop same st, make 1 hdc into back loop across to end, turn. (17)

Round3-12:  do and continue the same work as round 2, turn. (17)

Finish off and sew and join pocket piece into wrong side of front middle

Starting front again from round 13.

Color A:

Round13: ch1, hdc into back loop same st, 1hdc into next 3 sts, leave the front pocket border 16 sts 

and working 1 hdc into 16 sts back pocket piece across, then make 1 hdc into last 4 sts, turn work. (24)

Round14-29: ch1, hdc into back loop same st, make 1 hdc into back loop across to end, turn. (24)

Measurement front both side (28cm)

Now we are working for neck line both front.

Right front shoulder and neck line:

Round30: ch1, hdc into back loop same st, make 1 hdc in each next 11 sts across, leave 12 sts for 

neck shape, turn work.(12)

Round31-35: ch1, 1hdc in each back loop across into 12 sts, turn work.(12) fasten off

Left front shoulder and neck line:

Round30: skip 12 sts for neck shape, make sl st in each 12 sts, make 1hdc into next 12 sts back loop across, turn.(12)

Round31-35: ch1, 1hdc in each back loop across into 12 sts, turn work.(12)

Fasten off

Sew shoulders seems together both front to back side, slip stitch in each st across for shoulder seems,

Make SleevesX2:

Color A:

Chains 32

Round1: make 1 hdc into 3^rd ch, 1hdc in each ch across, turn. (30)

Round2: ch1, hdc into back loop same st, make 1 hdc into back loop across to end, turn. (30)

Change color B:

Round3: ch1, hdc into back loop same st, make 1 hdc into back loop across to end, turn. (30)

Round4: ch1, 2hdc into same st, 1hdc in each ch across, 2hdc into last st, turn work.(32)

Change color A:

Round5-6: ch1, hdc into back loop same st, make 1 hdc into back loop across to end, turn. (32)

Change color B:

Round7-24 : For the sleeves Do and repeat the same work as we don’t in (Round2-Round3-Round4)

Changing color after make 2 rounds. Fasten off

Measurement sleeves we have done 24 rounds =23cm

Have total 44 stitches =10 inches.  

Now we are join sleeves to the jacket.

Sewing: put the jacket front and sleeve front together the same point, use whip stitch for sewing to 

join sleeves to the jacket, watch the video instructions.

Into wrong side sew the jacket sides and sleeves both. Use whip stitch for sewing the jacket side.

 Fasten off

Make border band for sleeves and jacket.

Make Sleeve band:

Round1. Change color B. ch1, hdc in each st around the sleeves cuff, join with a slip stitch.

Round2: ch1, make *1 front post into next st, back post into next st*, repeat from * to * around the 

cuff, sl st.

Round3: ch1, make 1front post into front post and back post into back post in each st around the cuff.

 Fasten off

Make front border bands.

Color A.

Round1, make 1 hdc in each st across into the edging front, turn work

Round2: ch1, make*1 front post into next st, back post into next st*, repeat from * to * across, turn work

Round3: make 1 front post into front post and back post into back post across the border band. Fasten off

For the bottom border band follow the same work as we done ar front border only change the color B.

Make collar of jacket:

Color B:

Round1: Leave the front band sts, join yarn into 1^st st of neck line, ch1, hdc in each st across the neck

 line, at the end leave the front band sts, turn work,

Round2: ch1, hdc into same st back loop, make 1hdc in each back loop across the the neck line, 

turn work.

Change color A:

Round3-4: repeat same work as Round2 of collar neck line.

Change color B:

Round5-6: repeat same work as round2 of collar neck line.

Change color A:

Round7-8 repeat same work as round2 of collar neck line. Fasten off
