Amigurumi Football Cover

Instructions.

This crochet amigurumi patterns football cover made especially to protect for plastic item footballs and other same things. I am using different colors worsted weight yarn and 3mm crochet hook. Made total 12 hexagons for this cover, using white color in the center and edges, when completing all 12 pieces, then join. Use single crochet stitch for sewing; also sew with your own idea.

Put one piece in the center and sew 5 pieces around it, join all sides, and make one more to the same, after that join the 2 sections together, leave opening for inserting the ball inside, close the opening. Worsted weight yarn 4 ply (16 – 20 sts = 4 inch)

Gauge:  4dc x 2 row = 1inch

Size:   medium

Hook size:   3mm

Special stitch:

1.       V stitch (double crochet, chain 2, double crochet)

2.      Ch3 count for the 1^st double crochet stitch.

3.      Make total 12 hexagons.

4.      Use single crochet stitch for joining.

Make ch5, slst to join in 1^st ch.

Round1:     into ring, ch3, 2dc, * ch2, 3dc *, repeat * to * total 5 times around, slst in

top of ch3.

Color B:

Round2:     ch3, dc in next 2 sts, make *vst (dc, ch2, dc) into corner sp, dc in next 3 sts *,

 repeat * to * total 5 times around, slst in top of ch3.

Round3:     ch3, dc in next 3 sts, make *vst (dc, ch2, dc) into corner sp, dc in next 5 sts *,

 repeat * to * total 5 times around, dc in last st, slst in top of ch3.

Round4:     ch3, dc in next 4 sts, make *vst (dc, ch2, dc) into corner sp, dc in next 7 sts *,

 repeat * to * total 5 times around, dc in last 2 sts, slst in top of ch3.

Round5:     ch3, dc in next 5 sts, make *vst (dc, ch2, dc) into corner sp, dc in next 9 sts *,

Note:

If you want larger the size, so repeat some more rounds to the same way.

Sewing:    

Work.   make total 12 pieces of hexagon for this football cover, put one piece into the center and sew 5 pieces around in each side, use single crochet stitch for sewing, then join the sides, repeat the same work for the remain pieces, after completing both, then sew the middle around, leave opening for the ball, insert the ball inside then join the remaining sts.
