Baby Jacket and Pants

Today I bring new and stylish baby jacket and pants design for you. This adorable and nice small newborn to 3 months baby hooded cardigan jacket.  I made before two months in the very cold season but some of the reason I do not share in my blog, today I sharing for you so don’t forget this simple idea and check out for the little ones, and protect him and her for the cold.

Instructions:  I am using two of the boy colors brown and light skin in this sweater, both of the colors I added in my booties to the same, both colors are good combine to each other and make a different and super perfect design. You also choose for other different two colors as your own choice and make this baby set for the new born to large sizes.

 this simple and beginner pattern can be adjust in many of the other sizes large and more large sizes, but you notice when you making a large size you have to make the ribbing in large size and then work in the body, I think you understand this point and follow me, if are the beginner and want to make the large size, try this simple and easy instructions.

I added a single crochet stitch in this baby hooded jacket/cardigan with the same pants; it’s a lovely and thick stitch for the babies’ item, it’s very easy stitch. I made the ribbing video instruction and the hooded too, if you have a problem to understanding the pattern you can see the videos.

 I also inform you about the ending; if you are using the two colors so must note, don’t cut the yarn at the end drop one color and pick up the 2^nd color for the next round.

This simple baby jacket and pants made for the little babies to protect them with the cold and chilly season. This is a great idea for beginner crocheters. Don’t miss the video and learn how can be making the ribbing.

Gauge:  (4 sc x 4 rows = 1 inch)

Length sweater.   Top-bottom= 10.5 inches

Length sleeve. Shoulder – cuff = 7 inches

Pant length. Top –bottom cuff = 10 inches

Size:  0 – 3 months

Item to be need:

Two colors brown and skin Worsted weight yarn 4 ply (16 – 20 sts = 4 inches)

Crochet hook: 3 mm/3.5 mm

Note: sew the shoulder seems together into both of the sides, sew with a slst in each st in wrong side.

Make hood:

Color B:

Round1:     using color B and join into right front corner facing you, pick up 1 sc along 

                   the edge of the Neck line to the left front corner, turn.

Round2-22:    ch1, sc in same st, sc in each st across, turn. Don’t fasten off and sew the 

                       hood into the wrong side.

Sewing:     insert the hook in both sts, slst in same st, slst in each st across into both sts, at the end sc

 Deep into some of the last sts. Fasten off (see how to sew the hood)

Make front edge:

Work:  join color A into corner of the right front bottom rib facing you, sc in each st along the edge of

The right front, then across to the hoodie front, and then across to the left front edge to end, turn.

Next Round:  Repeat 3 more round of the sc. fasten off

Finishing:     use crochet needle and yarn join both of the sleeves into wrong side to the cardigan

 Sweater, use again crochet needle and sew both of the sides, start in the sleeve cuff to the end

of the side rib. Sew small buttons on the right front edge.

Make pant:

Color A:

Ribbing: 

*Round1:     ch7, sc in 2^nd ch, sc in each next 5 ch across, turn. (6)

Round2:       ch1, sc in same st, sc in each next 5 sts across, turn. (6)

Round3-36:   repeat ( Rnd 2). Fasten off

Pants top:

Round1:        ch1, sc in same st, sc in each 43 sts across, pick the 2^nd leg and join with a sc,

                       sc in each 43 sts across into the 2^nd leg, join with a slst in the beginning sc into

                       the 1^st leg, turn. (88 sc)

Round2:          ch1, sc in same st, sc in each st around, slst , turn. (88 sc)

Round 3-13:    repeat (Rnd 2)

Make ribbing row for the tie:

Round14:       ch1, sc in same st, sc in next 3 sts, *ch1, skip a st, sc in next 4 sts*, repeat * to *

                        around, Turn. (88)

Round15-18:   repeat (Rnd 2). (88) Fasten off and weave in all ends.

Make tie:

Work:  make ch 110. Fasten off and insert the tie into the ribbing row of pant.
