Welcome to my new and adorable baby crochet cardigan design. This is a small 12-16 months baby cardigan jacket made for the clod season, it protect and warm the little ones. Today I sharing for you don’t forget this simple idea and check out for the little ones, and protect him and her for the cold and spring.

Instructions:  I am using two of the boy colours DK weight with 3.5mm hook, you can choose for another different boy colours as your own choice and make this baby sweater for your loving children or gifted to friends. this simple and beginner baby jacket can be easily adjust in many of the other sizes large and more large sizes, but you have to notice when you are making a large size you have to add more starting chains for larger size and then work in the sweater body, I think you can easily to  understand the pattern for more help watch video instructions.

We provide you easy instructions for crochet Baby jacket sweater 12-16 months’ but you can easily to change pattern for more sizes as you want to make, choose any of colour light Baby DK 100% acrylic) with 3.5 mm hook for the  baby pattern; you also choose other colours for this pattern. start the pattern cardigan jacket:

Chains 66:

Round1: (Front) ch3 we count 1^st dc, make 1 dc in each next 9sts, make corner 3dc into next st, 

(Shoulder) 1dc in each next 10 sts, make corner 3 dc into next st,

(Back) 1dc in each next 20 sts, make corner 3 dc  into next st,

(2^nd Shoulder) 1dc in each next 10 sts, make corner 3 dc  into next st,

(2^nd  Front)1 dc in each 10 sts, turn work.

Round2: (Front) ch1 not count a st, make 1dc in each next 11 sts, make corner 3dc into 

middle st of corner,

(Shoulder) 1dc in each next 12 sts, make corner 3dc into middle st of corner,

(Back) 1dc in each next 22 sts, make corner 3dc into middle st of corner,

(2^nd Shoulder) 1dc in each next 12 sts, make corner 3 dc into middle st of corner,

(2^nd  Front)1 dc in each 11 sts, turn work.

Round3-15: do and follow the same work as we done in Round 2.

Now divide stitches for armhole.

Change colour.

Round16: ch1 not count a st, make 1 dc in each st across to next middle of corner st, 

leave/skip shoulder armhole sts, and make 1 dc into next corner middle st, then continue

make 1 dc in each st across into back side, leave/skip 2nd shoulder armhole sts, then make 

1 dc in each st across into front sts, turn work.

Add the pattern of sweater body.

Pattern Round1: ch1 not count, make 1 dc same st, *skip next st, make 1 dc into next st, then 

make 1dc into skipped st*, repeat from * to * across to end, make 1 dc into last st, turn work. 

Pattern Round2: ch1, not count, make 1 dc same st, 1 dc in each st across to end, Turn work.

Round3-17: do and follow the same work as we done in pattern round 1 and pattern round 2.

Make edging of front band.

Round1. Ch1, make 1dc in each st across into front edging, turn work.(68)

Round2. Ch1,hdc into same st, *make front post into next dc. And back post into

next dc*,repeat from * to * across to end, make 1 hdc into last st, turn work.

Round3. Ch1, hdc into same st, *make front post into front post and back post into

Back post*, repeat from * to * across to end, 1 hdc into last st. fasten off

For neck line border band and for sweater bottom band do and follow the same work

as we done at front border bands.

Make sleeve X 2:

Colour B.

Round1.join yarn into next st armhole from corner, ch3 we count st, make 1 dc in each

St around armhole, do sl st to join into 3^rd ch.

Change colour A:

Round2. Ch3 we count st, make 1 dc in each st around armhole, 

do sl st to join into 3^rd ch.

Change colour B:

Round3-17: do and follow the same work as we done in Round 2 of sleeve. 

Make border edging sleeve cuff:

Round1. Ch1,hdc into same st, *make front post into next dc. And back post into

next dc*,repeat from * to * across to end, make 1 hdc into last st, turn work.

Round2. Ch1, hdc into same st, *make front post into front post and back post into

Back post*, repeat from * to * across to end, 1 hdc into last st. fasten off

Finishing. Sew buttons on front band. Weave all ends.
