wool: 2 colors DK Weight Acrylic 3 ply yarn (5hdc X 3 Rows = 1 inch)

color A: skin

color B : light turquoise

Crochet hook size 3.5mm (E)

Size:      Baby 6-18 months

Gauge:  5 sc x 4 rows = 1 inch

 Pattern for gauge:  

5 single crochet x 4 Rounds = 1 inch

Back loop single crochet Stitch Baby Cap

size of hat from top to bottom: 7 inches /18 cm

circumference of hat : 14-16 inches

Number of chains for changing Sizes

0-3 months- chains 30, Hook size 3.5mm (E) 3 Dk Yarn

3-6 months- chains 35, hook size 3.5mm (E) 3 Dk Yarn

6-18 months chains 40, hook size 3.5mm (E) 3 Dk Yarn

12-24 months chains 45, hook size 3.5mm (E) 3 Dk Yarn

3-5 Toddler /small child size Years chains 50,hook size 3.5mm (E) 3 Dk Yarn

6-10  Child Size Years chains 56,hook size 3.5mm (E) 3 Dk Yarn

US Terms Abbreviation

·         Ch   chains

·         st     stitch

·         Sc    single crochet

·         Hdc  half double crochet

·         Dc    double crochet

·         trb    treble crochet

·         Sts    Stitches

·         Sl st   slip stitch

           FP      front post

           BP      back post

Make chains 40+1 for size 6-18 months

Color A:

Round1- sc into 2^nd ch from the hook, make 1 sc in each ch across to end, turn work.(40)

Round2- ch1 count 1^st st, make 1 sc in each st into back loop across to end, turn work. (40)

Color B:

Round3- ch1 count 1^st st, make 1 sc in each st across to end, turn work. (40)

Round4- ch1 count 1^st st, make 1 sc in each st across to end, turn work. (40)

Color A:

Round5- ch1 count 1^st st, make 1 sc in each st into back loop across to end, turn work. (40)

Round6- ch1 count 1^st st, make 1 sc in each st into back loop across to end, turn work. (40)

Round 7-75- do and follow the same work as we done in ( Round3- Round4- Round 5-Round6)

Changing color after make 2 rounds.

Fasten off and close the hat from top to bottom.

Sewing: right side facing together, then make slip stitch into both sts together, then across

1 slip stitch in each both sts together across to end. Fasten off

Sew the top opening and sew pom pom ball on top of hat.
