Men XL sizes jacket with pockets we explain, also explain all sizes in details below in my written pattern. we used light Dk Weight #3 or 3ply wool with 3.5mm ( E) hook. new and latest pattern for crochet men sweater/gents sweater, Sleeveless cardigan sweater with pockets for gents all season. i hope you like this free pattern with same video tutorial, you can easily to change the size as you want to make. we share a same video tutorial of the crochet gents sweater.

 Items to be need:

 350-400 grams #3 Yarn Light DK weight (3ply wool- 5 double crochet = 1 inch)

 Crochet hook size: 3.5 mm or(E-4)

Gauge:  5 half double crochet x 2.5 Rows = 1 inch with hook size 3.5 mm (E-4)

Cardigan Jacket Length from shoulder: 26 inches/66 cm

Cardigan Jacket 42-44 inches XL sizes

Back Panel:

Make chains 110 + 1= 111

Round1- make hdc into 2^nd  ch from the hook, hdc in each ch across till end, Turn. (hdc 110)

Round2- ch1 don’t count, hdc in each st across, Turn. (hdc 110)

Round3- ch1 don’t count, hdc in each st across, Turn. (hdc 110)

Round4- ch2 don’t count, make dc in each st across, Turn. (dc 110)

Round5- ch1 don’t count, hdc into same st, *front post dc into next st, hdc into next st*,

Repeat from * to * across till end, Turn. (110 sts)

Round6- 54: Repeat and follow back panel Round 2, Round 3, Round 4 & Round 5.

Measurement from bottom 17 inches/ 43 cm

Round59- Repeat and follow Round 58.  (hdc 90)

Round60- Repeat and follow Round 56. (dc 88)

Make Fronts Panel with pockets:

Make chains 55 + 1= 56

Round1- make hdc into 2nd ch from the hook, hdc in each ch across till end, Turn. (hdc 55)

Round2- ch1 don’t count, hdc in each st across, Turn. (hdc 55)

Round3- ch1 don’t count, hdc in each st across, Turn. (hdc 55)

Round4- ch2 don’t count, make dc in each st across, Turn. (dc 55)

Round5- ch1 don’t count, hdc into same st, *front post dc into next st, hdc into next st*,

Repeat from * to * across till end, Turn. (55 sts)

Round6- 17: Repeat and follow back panel Round 2, Round 3, Round 4 & Round 5.

Measurement from bottom 5.5 inches/ 14 cm

Now stop work and Make pocket piece separate then attach to the jacket front panel.

Make chains 23, hdc into 2^nd ch, hdc in each ch across, turn. (hdc 22)

Row2- ch1 don’t count, hdc in each st across, turn. (hdc 22)

Row3-18: repeat and follow Row 2 of pocket. Fasten off

Now attach pocket piece wrong side of front panel.

Leave 16 stitches one side of front panel and start sewing from top to down the pocket, 

then across Bottom, then across down to top, then finish and secure stitches.

Now start work from Round 18 of front panel we stopped before.

Round18- ch1 don’t count, make hdc in each 16 sts front panel, leave front panel 22 sts, 

and work into pocket piece 22 stitches, then across hdc in the next 17 sts front panel. 

Turn work. (hdc 55)

Round19- ch1 don’t count, hdc in each st across, Turn. (hdc 55)

Round20- 54: Now repeat and follow the pattern front panel 

from Round 2, Round 3, Round 4 & Round 5.

Make Left Front Shoulder and Neck:

Row1- make slip st in each 6 sts, make hdc in each st across, hdc together, turn work. (hdc 48)

Row2- skip a st, dc in each st across, at the end make dc together, Turn. (dc 46)

Row3- ch1 don’t count, hdc into same st, *front post dc into next st, hdc into next st*,

Repeat from * to * across till end, Turn. (46 sts)

Row4- skip a st, hdc in each st across, at the end make hdc together, Turn. (hdc 44)

Row5- skip a st, hdc in each st across, at the end make hdc together, Turn. (hdc 42)

Row6- skip a st, dc in each st across, at the end make dc together, Turn. (dc 40)

Row7- ch1 don’t count, hdc into same st, *front post dc into next st, hdc into next st*,

Repeat from * to * across till end, Turn. (40 sts)

Row15- 29- Now repeat and follow the pattern front panel shoulder and neck  from

Row 11 to Row 14. Fasten off

Measurement from division of shoulders and neck is 9-10 inches

Make Right Front Shoulder and Neck:

Row1- skip a st, hdc in each st across, at the end leave/skip 6 sts for shoulder, then turn.

Now we have hdc 48.

Row2- 29: repeat and follow the same work as we have done in the left front shoulder and neck.

Fasten off and sew shoulders seems together both front panel to back.

Make border around shoulder:

Row1- join yarn into middle st under arm, make hdc around the armhole, do slip st.

Row2- ch1 don’t count, *make front post next st, back post next st*, repeat from * to *

Around armhole, do slip st.

Row3- ch1 don’t count, front post dc into front post, back post dc into back post*, repeat

From * to * around, do slip st. fasten off

Make border button band front panel.

Row1- fright front corner from bottom to top, make hdc across, then across neck line, then across

Left front panel top to down, at the end, turn work.

Row2- ch1 don’t count, hdc into same st, *front post dc into next st, back post dc into next st*, 

repeat from * to *  Across till end of right front corner, turn work.

Row3- ch1 don’t count, ch1 don’t count, front post dc into front post, back post dc into back post*, 

repeat From * to * across till end. Fasten off

Make Bottom Border band:

Row1- ch1 don’t count, hdc into same st, *front post dc into next st, back post dc into next st*, 

repeat from * to *  Across till end of right front corner, turn work.

Row2- ch1 don’t count, ch1 don’t count, front post dc into front post, back post dc into back post*, 

repeat From * to * across till end. Fasten off and sew buttons on the front panel band.
