changing for Sizes:

0-3 Months:  Hat Circumference = Rib Band Size: 12-13/34 cm •  Height hat = 5.5"

3-6 Months: Hat Circumference = Rib Band Size: 13-14/36 cm •  Height hat = 6"

9-12: Months:  Hat Circumference = Rib Band Size: 14-15/38cm  •  Height hat = 7"

Toddler & Small Child (Approximately 1 to 5 years - 
 Rib Band Size: Hat Circumference = 16-17"  •  Height hat = 7.25"

Child (Approximately 5 to 10 years - 
 Rib Band Size: Hat Circumference = 18"  •  Height hat = 7.5"

Teen / Small Adult :  Hat Circumference = 19"  •  Height hat = 8"

Medium Adult :  Hat Circumference = 20"  •  Height hat = 8"

Large Adult :Hat Circumference = 21.75"  •  Height hat = 8.25"

Item to be need:

wool: 100 Grams 3 colors ( DK Weight Acrylic #4  yarn (16-20 = 4 inches)

Crochet hook size:  3.5mm(E)

 Size:      9-12 months Infant Baby

Gauge:  4 stitches x 2 Rows = 1 inch

 Pattern for gauge:  

Hat Circumference = 14-15"  •  Height hat = 7"

Baby butterfly hat:

Special stitch: Butterfly stitch working into v-stich

*make 5 double crochet in complete around post of 1^st double crochet of v-st, 

we have 6 loops on hook, yarn over, leave 2 loops, yarn over again then leave 

2 loops, repeat 3 more Times the same*, then make puff stitch into base of v- stitch.

2-Puff stitch*yarn over the hook and pull up a loop, repeat 4 more times, we have

 11 loops on hook, Yarn over then leave 10 loops, we have 2 loops on hook, 

yarn over again leave 2 loops, then make Slip stitch to close the puff st*, don’t 

stop work and make again butterfly st on the next dc of v-st. *make 5 double crochet 

in complete around post of next  d c of v-st, we have 6 loops on hook,

yarn over, leave 2 loops, yarn over again then leave 2 loops, repeat 3 more 

Times the same*.....

Color A:

Make Ribbing Band:

Make chains 10.

Round1- make hdc into 2^nd ch from the hook, make 1 hdc in each ch across to end, 

turn work. (9hdc)

Round2- ch1 not count, make 1 hdc in each 9 sts across, turn work. (9hdc)

Round3-45- Repeat and follow Round of band.

Measurement Approx. 14 inches/36 cm

Now close the rib band, and then start work for the top part of hat.

Work: fold the band, 1st round to last round hdc 9 sts together, do slip st together

 in each 9 Sts across to close the band, don’t stop; into right side facing out of band 

then start work around the edging of rib band.

Round- ch1, make 70 sc to make around the edging of rib band.(70 sc)

Color B:

Round2-ch3 we count dc, make 1 dc in each next 4 sts, *skip next 2 sts, make 

v-st(1dc, ch2,1dc) Into next st, skip next 2 sts, make 1 dc in each next 5 sts*, repeat 

from * to * around the hat, Do slip st to join into 3^rd ch.( 7 v-st)

Round3- ch3 we count dc, make 1 dc in each next 4 sts, *skip next 2 sts, *make

 butterfly stitch Into next v-st(see special stitch or video tutorial), make 1 dc in each 

next 5 sts*,repeat from *to * Around, so slip st to join into 3^rd ch.

Change color A:

Round4- ch3 we count dc, make 1 dc in each next 4 sts, * make v –st(1dc, ch2, 1dc)

into next puff st, Make 1 dc in each next 5 sts*, repeat from * to * around, 

do slip st to join into 3^rd ch.

Round5- ch3 we count dc, make 1 dc in each next 4 sts, *skip next 2 sts, *make 

butterfly stitch Into next v-st(see special stitch or video tutorial), make 1 dc in each 

next 5 sts*,repeat from *to * Around, so slip st to join into 3^rd ch.

Change color C:

Round6- Repeat and follow Round4.

Round7- Repeat and follow Round 5.

Change color B:

Round8- Repeat and follow Round4.

Round9- Repeat and follow Round 5.

Change color A:

Round10- Repeat and follow Round4.

Round11- Repeat and follow Round 5.

Measurement Approx. 11 Rounds of hat and include Rib band- 6 .5 inches/ 16 cm

Now we are going to decrease some stitches.

Change color C:

Round12- ch2, make dc into next st to make together, make dc together next st, 

make  1 dc into Next st,  * make v –st(1dc, ch2, 1dc)into next puff st, make dc 2 together

 2 times  into next 4 sts, make 1 dc into next st*, repeat from * to * around, 

do slip st to join into 1^st st.

Round13- ch2, make next 2 dc together, *make butterfly stitch Into next v-st

(see special stitch or video tutorial),then make next 3 dc together*, repeat from * to * 

around, do slip st into 1^st st.

Measurement Approx. include Rib band- 7 inches/ 18 cm. fasten off

Sewing: close the top opening of hat, use needle and a piece of yarn, use whip st in each st

Around the opening of hat, pull tight and close it. make pom pom woolen ball then sew

On top of hat. Then finish off.

Pom pom:

Work: wrapped a 3 colors A-B-C around a piece of card repeat and repeat to wrapped

 a yarn Around then cut out, hold another piece of yarn around to hold the middle 

pull out , tight the middle And close it. Then cut out the ball around to finish off and 

sew on the top of hat. For more help
