Baby Round Neck Sweater Video Tutorial 

Hello Friends and Followers! Today topic is my new project for crochet Baby Cardigan dress with Round neck sweater,hat and shoes for little girls 1-2 years sizes, we have done and completed full baby set for little girls new design for all seasons, in the new project include baby top sweater cardigan dress coat with shoes and hat. i hope you will love and apperciate. my previous post i have done the dress in red color, i will showing round neck sweater with the  same video tutorial. you can be easily to change for all sizes as you want to make for little girls and boys larger or smaller. you can make it different colors according to your choice larger or smaller sizes, we explain below in my pattern for more sizes, we mention about for all sizes in the same video tutorial to give you most easier to understand the pattern. Watch full video tuorial for Baby Cardigan Dress & Baby Round Neck Sweater

instrutions: We use Medium weight #4 yarn/Double Knit weight wool 4ply with 4mm(G-6) crochet hook for this baby round neck sweater with complete set, Size of the baby sweater and caridgan dress is for 1-2 years, it’s very easy to start, we mention below about more sizes, next Project will show you new baby patterns. so, you can follow my other crochet ideas we mention the links below and also all links in the crochet baby patterns.

Items to be need:

Wool: half White (160-200 Grams #4 Medium Weight or DK Weight 4 Ply

 (16-20 stitches = 4 inches) with Hook size 4mm (G-6)

Hook size:  4mm (G-6)

Baby full set dress and sweater Size :      1-2 years

Pattern Gauge:  4 double crochet stitches x 2 Rows = 1 inch with Hook size 4mm (G-6)

Measurement Baby Roundneck Sweater: 

Length: From shoulder to bottom: 14 inches/36 cm

chest size 1-2 years: 24 inches/56-58 cm

Sleeve length: from underarm- 9 inches/ 22 cm

US Terms ABBREVIATIONS:

Baby Round neck Sweater for changing size follow size chart :

0-3 months:    chains 58,Hook size 4mm (G-6)

6-12 months: chains 60, Hook size 4mm (G-6)

1-2 years:      chains 62, Hook size 4mm (G-6)

3-4 years:      chains 66, Hook size 4mm (G-6)

5-8 years:      chains 68, Hook size 4mm (G-6)

8-12 years:    chains 72, Hook size 4mm (G-6)

Round neck Sweater Pattern:

For size 12-24 months Make chains 62, be careful don’t twist the chains,

Do slip st into first ch to connect.

Row1- ch1 don’t count, hdc in each ch around, do slip st first hdc. (hdc 62)

Measurement hdc 62 is about 15-16 inches

Row2- ch2 don’t count, *make 1dc in each 2 sts, 2dc into next st*, repeat from * to *

Around, do slip st first dc. (dc 82)

Row3- ch2 don’t count, hdc into same st, *make FP dc into next dc, 1 hdc into next st*,

Repeat from * to * around, do slip st first hdc. (82 sts)

Row4- ch2 don’t count, *make 1dc in each 2 sts, 2dc into next st*, repeat from * to *

Around, do slip st first dc. (dc 109)

Row5- Repeat and follow Row 3 of sweater. (109 sts)

Row6- ch2 don’t count, *make 1dc in each 3 sts, 2dc into next st*, repeat from * to *

Around, do slip st first dc. (dc 136)

Row7- Repeat and follow Row 3 of sweater. (136 sts)

Row8- ch2 don’t count, *make 1dc in each 4 sts, 2dc into next st*, repeat from * to *

Around, do slip st first dc. (dc 163)

Row9- Repeat and follow Row 3 of sweater. (163 sts)

Row10- ch2 don’t count, *make 1dc in each 7 sts, 2dc into next st*, repeat from * to *

Around, do slip st first dc. (dc 182)

Row11- Repeat and follow Row 3 of sweater. (182 sts)

Divide for sleeve,(Front 51, Sleeve 40, Back 51, sleeve 40)

Measurement from neckline – 5.5 inches/ 14 cm

Body of Sweater:

Row1- under arm start next row, ch2, dc into same st, skip/leave 40 sts for sleeve, then

Make dc in each 51 sts front, skip/leave 40 sts for 2^nd sleeve, dc in each next 50 sts back,

Do slip st first dc. (dc 102)

Row2- ch2 don’t count, hdc into same st, *make FP dc into next dc, 1 hdc into next st*,

Repeat from * to * around, do slip st first hdc. (102 sts)

Row3- ch2, make 1 dc in each st around, do slip st first dc. (dc 102)

Row4-16: Repeat and follow Pattern Row 2 & Row 3 body of sweater.

Measurement from underarm from division about – 8 inches 20 cm

Make Sweater Ribbing Band:

Row17-20- ch2 don’t count, make 1 hdc in each st around, do slip st. fasten off

Make sleeves:

Row1- join yarn into middle st underarm, ch2 don’t count, make 1 dc in each 40 sts

Around armhole, do slip st first dc, (dc40)

Row2- ch2 don’t count, hdc into same st, *make FP dc into next dc, 1 hdc into next st*,

Repeat from * to * around, do slip st first hdc. (40 sts)

Row3- ch2 don’t count, make 1 dc in each st around, do slip st first dc. (dc 40)

Row4-16: Repeat and follow Pattern Row 2 & Row 3 of sleeve.

Measurement from underarm from division about – 8 inches 20 cm

Make sleeve Ribbing Band:

Row17- ch2 don’t count, *make 1 hdc next st, hdc 2 together next*, repeat form * to *

Around, do slip st first hdc. (hdc 27)

Row18-20: ch2 don’t count, make hdc in each st around. Do slip st first hdc. Fasten off

Make Neckline Ribbing Band:

Row1- rejoin yarn in the shoulder first st, ch2 don’t count, *make FP dc into next hdc,

BP dc into next hdc*, repeat from * to * around neckline, do slip st first FPdc. (62 sts)

Row2- ch2 don’t count, *make FP dc next FP, BP dc into next BP*, repeat from * to *

Around neckline, do slip st first FP. (62 sts)

Row3-4: Repeat and follow Row of neckline band. Fasten off

Finishing:  use red color and make chains 80, slip st. insert tie lace in the neckline.

Make pom pom and sew in the tie lace both corner. Fasten off weave ends.
