Row12- Right side of hat, ch2 don’t count, make *1 FPdc (front post double crochet) 

1 step down in the double crochet, 1 dc into next st*, repeat from * to * around, 

slip st join into FP dc, turn work. (84 stitches)

Remember to always skip one st “behind” FPdc, when working your dc’s, so that 

st count stays the same.

Row14- Wright side of hat, ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, make *1 FPdc (front post double
