Crochet Jacket OR Coat- Collar Cardigan - Little Girls Winter Top Sweater



Hello Friends and Followers! Today topic is my new project for winter crochet Baby Cardigan Coat with neck collars for little girls 3-4 years sizes, we have done new design for fall and winter season completed baby top sweater cardigan coat include vidoes. i hope you will love and apperciate. explain in details in the pattern below,showing with the  same video tutorial. you can be easily to change for all sizes as you want to make for babies larger or smaller. you can make with different colors according to your choice larger or smaller sizes for kids. we explain below in my pattern for all sizes as you want make, we mention about for all sizes in my video tutorial to give you most easier to understand the pattern. 

instrutions: We use Medium weight #4 yarn /DK weight wool 4ply with 4mm(G-6) crochet hook for this baby collar coat jacket, Size of the baby caridgan jacket is 3-4 years, we mention below in the pattern. we add simple stitch for the pattern, it’s very easy to start, we mention below about all sizes, next Project will come another super baby patterns. so, you can follow my other crochet ideas we mention the links.

Item to be need:

we use 300-350 Grams #4 Medium Weight/DK weight 4 Ply (16-20 = 4 inches)

Hook size 4mm (G-6)

Baby Cardigan/Coat Size:      3-4 years

Pattern Gauge:  4 double crochet stitches x 2 Rows = 1 inch with Hook size 4mm (G-6)

coat jacket from top to bottom length: 15 inches/39-40 cm

chest size baby coat: 26 inches/66 cm

sleeve length from under arm to cuffs: 10 inches/26 cm

Make chains 52:

Row1- hdc into 3rd ch from the hook, hdc in each ch across, Turn. (hdc 51)

Row2- ch2 don’t count, *dc in the next 2 sts, 2 dc into next st*, Repeat from * to * across,

Turn. (dc 67)

Row3- ch2 don’t count, *dc in the next 3 sts, 2 dc into next st*, Repeat from * to * across,

Turn. (dc 83)

Row4- ch2 don’t count, *dc in the next 4 sts, 2 dc into next st*, Repeat from * to * across,

Next Row divides for armhole,

Divide (5 shells front, 8 shells sleeve, 11 shells back, 8 shells sleeve, 5 shells front)

Row12- ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, *make v-st in the next middle st of previous shell

(dc, ch3, dc), Back post in next previous front post*, repeat from * to * 4 more times(front),

skip next 8 shells for sleeve, increase one more v-st in the next space after shell(dc, ch3, dc),

then make back post in the next front post previous row and then continue from * to * across 

11 times back panel, and then increase one more v-st for corner into space(dc, ch3, dc),skip next 

8 shells for sleeve, then repeat from * to * across 5 times at front, make dc into last st, Turn.

Jacket Body:

Row1- ch2 we don’t count, dc into same st, *make shell 5 dc into next middle space of v-st, make

Front post dc in the next dc*, repeat from * to * across, at the end make dc, Turn. (13 shells)

Row2- ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, *make v-st in the next middle st of previous shell

(dc, ch3, dc), Back post in next previous front post*, repeat from * to * across, at the end make dc,

Row3- 20- Repeat and Follow Row 1 & Row 2 of Jacket body pattern.

Measurement form shoulder 15 inches/ 39 cm

Make buttonhole front band:

Row1- right front jacket, rejoin yarn into corner, make ch1 don’t count, sc into same st, * 2 sc into 

next Space, 1 sc into next space*, repeat from * to * across, turn. (sc 48)

Row2- ch1 don’t count, sc into same st, 1 sc in next 2 sts, *make ch 2, skip next 2 sts, sc in the 

next 8 sts*, repeat from * to * across till end. Turn. We have 5 buttonholes

Row3- ch1 don’t count, *make sc in each sc st, 2 sc into buttonhole ch-space*, repeat from * to *

Across, slip st. fasten off

Make left front band:

Row1- right siding facing jacket, rejoin yarn in the left front of jacket into corner from neck,

Ch1 don’t count, sc into same st, * 2 sc into next Space, 1 sc into next space*, repeat from * to *

across, turn. (sc 48)

Row2: ch1 don’t count, sc in each 48 sts across, turn.(sc 48)

Row3- repeat one more row of sc same work. Fasten off and sew buttons on the band.

Make collar of jacket:

Row1- rejoin yarn into corner wrong side of jacket, ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, *skip next st,

make v-st in the next st(dc, ch2, dc), skip next st,1dc into next st*, Repeat from * to * across in the

neck line, make dc into last st, Turn. (we have 13 v-st)

Row2- ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, *make shell 5 dc into next middle space of v-st, make

Front post in the next dc*, repeat from * to * across, at the end make dc, Turn.13 shells

Row3- ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, *make v-st in the next middle st of previous shell

(dc, ch3, dc), Back post in next previous front post*, repeat from * to * across till end, Turn.

Row4- Repeat and follow Row 2 of collar.

Row5- Repeat and follow Row 3 of collar.

Row6- Repeat and follow Row 2 of collar. Fasten off

Make sleeves:

Row1- wrong side of jacket under arm rejoin yarn, ch2 don’t count, make back post next front

Post of previous row, *make v-st in the next middle st of previous shell (dc, ch3, dc), Back post

in next previous front post*, repeat from * to * around the armhole, at end make dc into last st,

slip st to join into first dc, Turn. We have 8 v-st)

Row2- ch2 don’t count, make front post into both st together dc and front post,*make shell 5 dc 

into next middle space of v-st, make Front post in the next front post*, repeat from * to * around,

do slip st to join into first dc, Turn. (8 shells)

Row3- ch2 don’t count, make back post into previous row front post, make v-st in the next middle

st of previous shell (dc, ch3, dc), Back post in next previous front post*, repeat from * to * around,

do slip st to join into first dc. Turn. (8 v-st)

Row4- ch2 don’t count, make front post into previous row back post, *make shell 5 dc into

next middle space of v-st, make Front post into front post*, repeat from * to * around,

do slip st to join into first dc, Turn. (8 shells)

Row5- 16: Repeat and Follow Row 3 & Row 4 of sleeves.

Make sleeves cuffs:

Row17- ch2 don’t count, ch2 don’t count, make back post into previous row front post, make v-st 

in the next middle st of previous shell (dc, ch2, dc), Back post in next previous front post*, repeat

from * to * around, do slip st to join into first dc. Turn. (8 v-st)

Row18- ch1 don’t count, *1sc into front post dc st, make 3 sc into next middle of v-st space*,

Repeat from * to * around the sleeve cuff, do slip st into first sc.

Row19- 22: ch1 don’t count, make sc in each st around the cuff. Slip st.

Finish off and weave all ends.
