Color A:

Baby Blanket size 36" x 49" / 90 x 122 cm. Make chains multiple of 8 + 8 + 8……. +1 +2

i have chains 160 + 1 +2,

Row1- dc into 4th ch from the hook, dc in each st across, turn. ( dc 161)

Row2- ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, *skip 3 sts, 7 dc into next st, skip next 3 sts,

1 dc into next st*, repeat from * to * across, dc into last st, turn.

Row3-: ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, *FP dc into next 3 dc in the 7 dc group, ch1,

skip a st, FP dc into next 3 dc in the same group, make BP dc into next dc*, repeat

from * to * across, dc into last st, turn

Row4- ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, *make 7 dc into ch-space , make

FP dc into next dc*, repeat from * to * across, dc into last st, turn.

From Row5:

Repeat pattern Row 3 & 4 until the blanket measures 48 inches or reaches your desired

Length, ending with Row 1.

Color Sequence:

Work 16 Rows in the main color, then 8 Rows in the contrast color. Repeat this color 

sequence throughout the blanket until the desired length is reached.


Finishing & Border:

Simple Border:

If you prefer a simple border, work 1 double crochet (dc) in each st along both lengthwise

edges of the blanket.

Scalloped Border:

Change to contrast color and work the border all the way around the blanket as follows:

7dc into center stitch of each 7-dc shell

1 single crochet (sc) into the dc stitch between the shells.

Fasten off and weave in all loose ends.
