  1. Hi,
Just found this site today. I am an avid crocheter. Have been doing it since age 5. My Nana taught me. Just was doing blankets for years and then taught myself to read patterns. Love all of them. Have 3 grandchildren who live in cold climates and am constantly making sweaters. Love your pattern since most are cartigans or hooded anx yours is the only one I have seen with a high neck. Cant wait to get started. Thanks so much.

    1. thanks so much for your complement most welcome. should follow the same way for the 5 years, but you need some more chains to continue, and need more rounds to repeat for the lager size.

I think there is a mistake with the repeat rows for the front. in your video an don the directions you show us up to row 4 then say repeat row 4, 5, and 6 to row 29. after you do row 6 which is a fpdc row 4 is also a fpdc. shouldn't it be repeat 3,4,5, and 6 so there is a sc row between each fpdc row. I made one sweater already and tried it that way it came out weird so I redid the from doing repeat rows 3-6 instead and it came out like your picture. can you please check this. thank you. i'm making a 2nd one right now and hit the same issue so I am doing 3,4,5,6 to row 29. 7. Why do you say that you made this for 3-4 YEARS ,YET THE PATTERN SHOWS ITS FOR 1-2 YEARS also why do you say the yarn needed is DK & [ 4ply ] which one is it ? Janet

    1. I used dk which is a 3 ply. 4 ply would increase the size of the stitches

  8. How can i make this for a 7 year old

  9. increase the size of the hook and thickness of the yarn. that what I do

  10. Maybe double knit wool and a 5.0 needle?

  11. DK is ok.. I would try a 5.5 or 6. do a couple rows and measure what a 7 year olds width would be. from side to side. if your sample is wide enough then you should be good to go, if not increase or decrease the hook or add more stitches.

    1. yes follow the pattern ribbing band make 11 inches then follow the pattern as we did in the sweater. follow the pattern 8 inches include ribbing, then make chest and armhole 5 or 5.5 inches. you will need 13 inches lenght from border.
