Make chains 120, 

(Note: to make sedge stitch blanket larger or smaller, chain in a multiple of 3 to length 

you need)

Row1- make (hdc, dc) in 2nd ch from the hook, *skip 2 ch, Make (sc, hdc, dc) or 

See Special St Abbrivation) in next ch*, Repeat From * to * across to the last ch, make 

sc in the last ch st, turn work. (120 sts)

Row2- ch1 (we count sc st), make (hdc, dc) into same st, *skip next 2 sts, Make (sc, hdc, 

dc) or See Special St Abbrivation) in next ch*, (which should be the sc from the 

previous row), Repeat from * across to the last 3 sts, Skip the next st, make sc into last st, 

skip a ch(as we count sc) in previous row,  turn work. (120 sts)

From Row 3:

Repeat Row 2 until the blanket- measure Approx. 36" inches or reach your desired size.

Repeat this row until your blanket reaches your desired length

Tip: Keep your stitches relaxed and maintain the same tension throughout the project for 

an even texture.

Border

After reaching your desired blanket length, finish the blanket with a simple single crochet

Border around all four sides.

Work 1 round of single crochet evenly around all four sides.

In each corner work: (sc, ch2, sc)

Finish with a slip stitch and fasten off
