Crochet Baby Sweater Jacket with Pants





Welcome to all friends and weavers! Today we shared new and adorable baby set of crochet cardigan with pants. This is a small size made for baby 0-3 months, it’s a very thick and warm baby set to keep and protect him, her from cold. Don’t forget and miss this simple idea and check out for the little ones, and protect him and her in cold and spring.
Instructions:  in this set we used 2 of colors peach and half white light baby dk weight yarn with used 3mm hook, you also choose for another different baby colors as you own choice and make this baby sweater for your loving children or gifted to friends. this simple and beginner baby full set can be easily adjust in many of the other sizes large and more larger sizes, but you have to notice when you making a large size you have to increase and make the starting chains in the desire size and then work in the body, I think you understand .if you are the beginner and want to make the same size, try to this simple and easy instructions and watch 2 or 3 time the same video.


We add a single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet in same stitch. We always are going to give the simple and easy idea for the babies’ outfits with same videos instructions. If you have a problem to understanding the pattern you can watch the same videos.
I hope you will be enjoying getting this simple and beautiful idea we made for the little babies to protect them from cold and chilly season. This is very simple idea for the beginner crocheters. Don’t forget to follow the pattern.

Gauge:   5dc x 2.5 Row = 1 inch

Item to be need:
2 colors (Light DK weight acrylic yarn 4 ply 20 sts = 4 inch)
Color A. half white (Light DK weight acrylic yarn 4 ply 20 sts = 4 inch)
Color B. peach color (Light DK weight acrylic yarn 4 ply 20 sts = 4 inch)
Crochet hook. 3mm
4 small Buttons

Round2.     (Inc Row)  Ch2 (not count), dc in same st, *1dc in each dc to next 3dc group, 1dc in next dc, 3dc in middle st of 3dc group*, rpt  from * to * to last 3dc group, 1dc in next dc, 3dc in middle st of 3dc group, 1dc in each dc to end, turn. (69dc)

Round 3-8.  Repeat (Rnd 2), turn. (117dc)

Round 9.     (Inc Row)  ch2(not count) dc in same st, *1dc in each dc to next 3dc group, 1dc in next dc, 5dc in middle st of 3dc group*, rpt  from * to * to last 3dc group, 1dc in next dc, 5dc in middle st of 3dc group, 1dc in each dc to end, turn.

Round 10.     (Inc Row)  ch2(not count) dc in same st, *1dc in each dc to next 5dc group, 1dc in each next 2dc, 5dc in middle st of 5dc group*, rpt  from * to * to last 5dc group, 1dc in each next 2dc, 5dc in middle st of 5dc group, 1dc in each dc to end, turn.

Pattern round.
Color B.

Round11.     Ch1, sc in same st, *skp next 2sts, (1sc, 1hdc, 1dc) make in next st,* rpt from * to * across to end, sc in last st, turn.
Divide for armhole.

Round12.     Ch1, sc in same st, * skp next 2sts, (1sc, 1hdc, 1dc) in next st*, rpt from * to * more 6 times, skp 11 shells for armhole, rpt * to * 14 times for back side, skp 11 shells for 2nd armhole, rpt * to * 7 times across to end, sc in last st, turn.
Color A.

Round13-14.     Ch1, sc in same st, *skp next 2sts, (1sc, 1hdc, 1dc) make in next st,* rpt from * to * across to end, sc in last st, turn.
Change color after making 2 rounds.

Round14-36. Repeat (Rnd13). Measure approx 13 inches from shoulder. Fasten off

Sleeves X 2.
Color B.

Round1.     Start working under armhole, join yarn into the st make (1sc, 1hdc, 1dc ) in same st, * skp next 2 sts, (1sc,1hdc,1dc)make in next st*, rpt from * to * around the armhole, do slst in 1st st of sc, change next color, turn.

Round2.     Ch1, make (1sc, 1hdc, 1dc) in same st,* skp next 2 sts, (1sc, 1hdc, 1dc) make in next st,* rpt from * to * across to end, slst to join in 1st st of sc, turn.

Round3-17. Repeat (Rnd 2) change color after making 2 rounds. Fasten off

Make both buttonhole Bands.
Color B.
Left front button band.

Row1.    Join yarn into left front corner st right side facing, ch1, sc in same st, pick up evenly 46 sc across into the band to next neckline corner, turn.

Row2-4.  Ch1, sc in same st, sc in each 46 sts across the band, Turn. Fasten off

Right front button band.

Row1.     Join yarn into neckline corner right side facing, ch1, sc in same st, pick up evenly 46 sc across into the band, turn.

Row2.    Ch1, sc in same st, sc in each next 15 sts, make buttonhole, *skp st, ch2, sc in each next 8 sts* rpt from * to * 3 more time, make total of 4 buttonholes, sc in last 2 sts, turn.

Row3.    Ch1, sc in same st, sc in next st,* 1sc in ch2 space, sc in each st across to next ch2-sp*, rpt from * to * across, sc in each st to end, turn.

Row4.     Ch1, sc in same st, sc in each st across the band. Fasten off

Neckline band.
Start working into corner of neckline right side facing, join color B ch1, sc in same st, *skp next 2 sts, make (1sc,1hdc,1dc) in next st*, rpt from * to * across into neckline, sc into last st of 2nd corner.
Fasten off
Finishing.   Sew 4 of buttons into other side band, weave all ends.

Pants pattern:

Start work from waist.
Color B.
Make Ch80, be careful don’t twist the ch and join the ring with a slst.   

Round1.     Ch3 (as count), 1dc in each ch across, do slst in top of ch3, turn. (80)


Round2.     Ch3 (as count),* 1fp dc next st, 1bp dc in next st*, rpt from * to * around, do slst in top of ch3, turn. (80)

Round3.     Ch3 (as count), * fp dc around in fp, bp dc around in next bp*, rpt from * to * around, do slst in top of ch3, turn. (80)

Body of Pants.

Round1-11.   Ch3 (as count), 1dc in each st around, do slst in top of ch3, turn. (80)

Divide for legs.

Round1.        Ch3 (as count), 1dc in each next 39 dc, do slst in top of ch3, turn. (40)

Round2-11.   Ch3 (as count), 1dc in each st around, do slst in top of ch3, Turn. (40)

Color A.

Round12.      Ch1, make (1sc, 1hdc, 1dc) in same st,* skp next 2 sts, (1sc, 1hdc, 1dc) make in next st,* rpt from * to * across to end, slst to join in 1st st of sc, turn. (40)

Round13.         Repeat (Rnd 12).

Color B.

Round14-15.   Repeat (Rnd 12).

Color A.

Round16-17.   Repeat (Rnd 12). Fasten off

Second Leg.    
Work.     Return to remaining stitches at division, re-join color A to next dc and continue in the same way as first leg. Fasten off
Finishing.    Sew in and tie of loose ends, close small gap at division of legs, use needle and piece of yarn for sewing. Chain 140 ribbon through alternate front post and back post dc on waist. Make little chain of 60, tie for both bottom of legs and tie with bows.

    New Zealand double knit yarn is 8 ply on 4mm knitting needles - i see your double knit yarn is 4 ply and you using 3mm crochet hook I would Could i still it on our DK 8 ply with 4:50 crochet hook as i am a firm knitter. I am a beginner of crocheting and would like to do this garment.
