Today topic is crochet Alpine Stitched Gents sweater vest new design 2023  for winter season explain in details in the pattern below  with the  same video tutorial. This adorable easy vest sweater worked in beautiful my favorite alpine stitch pattern i like it so much to add the pattern in gents sweaters and cardigan, hats, and Scarfs, you can be easily to change the sweater for all sizes as you want to make for boys and men's. you can make it in different colors according to your choice larger or smaller. we explain below in my pattern for all sizes as you want make. we mentions about for all sizes in my video tutorial explain for you most easier to understand the pattern. video tutorial.  Back Panel PART-1

the vest sweater i have to work for my son, he is 14 years, the size of sweater small chest size 32-34. we use Double knit wool with hook size 4mm G hook.

Instructions:  new alpine crochet stitched sweater vest size toddler Small 32-34 chest, you can be easily to change the sweater vest size in larger and smaller, we explain in details about the sizes below, more explanation about the sizes small to adult sizes, also explain about the patterns in my video tutorial. you can chose any of other colors according to your taste. We used DK weight wool #4 ply with 4mm (G) hook for the project. Size of the sweater more details we mention below in the pattern. This pullover sweater started bottom to top, we add easy and beautiful new alpine stitch for the pattern of vest sweater, it’s very easy to start, so, you can follow my other crochet ideas we mention links. hope you will like and appreciate.

 Items to be need:

Wool: 400 grams   #4 DK weight OR Medium weight 4ply wool (16-20 Stitches = 4 inches)

Crochet hook : 4 mm (G/6)

 Size:  Gents Small size Chest Size:  34-36 

Gauge:  4 dc x 2 Rows = 1 inch

Length: Sweater vest Length from shoulder: 22 inches/56 cm

changing for Sizes: you can be use smaller or larger hook to change for other sizes.

please notice: that important thing of measurement for ribbing band of Sweater before starting, 

Toddler & Small Child : 

1- Child 3-5 years:   Rib Band Size 13 inches (DK #4 Yarn with hook size 4mm (G)

2- Child 6-10 years: Rib Band Size 14 inches (DK #4 Yarn with hook size 4mm (G)

X- small size  30-32 chest: chains 64 (DK #4 Yarn with hook size 4mm (G)

Small size      32-34 chest:  chains 68 (DK #4 Yarn with hook size 4mm (G)

Medium size  34-36 chest:  chains 74 (DK #4 Yarn with hook size 4mm (G)

Large size      36-38 chest:  chains 78 (DK #4 Yarn with hook size 4mm (G)

X- Large size 38-40 chest:  chains 84 (DK #4 Yarn with hook size 4mm (G)

Sweater Back and Front:

Small size      32-34 chest:  chains 68 (DK #4 Yarn with hook size 4mm (G)

Rib Band Size 17 inches/ 43 cm

Make Border Band:

Make chains 68,

Round1- dc into 4th ch from the hook, make 1 dc in each ch across to end, turn work.

 (66 dc)

Round2- ch1 (don’t count as stitch), hdc into same st, *FP into next dc, BP into next dc*,

 Repeat from * to *Across to end, hdc into last st, turn work.(66 sts)

Round3- ch1 (don’t count as stitch), hdc into same st, * FP next FP, BP next BP*, Repeat

from * to * across to end, hdc into last st, turn work. (66 sts)

Round4- Repeat and follow Round 3 once more.

 Body of Sweater:

Round1- ch1 (don’t count as stitch), sc into same st, 1 sc in each ch across to end, 

turn work. (66 sts)

Round2- ch2 (don’t count as stitch), dc into same st, 1 dc in each st across to end, 

turn work. (66 sts)

Round3- (don’t count as stitch), dc into same st, *FP dc next dc st, 1 dc into next st*, 

Repeat from * to * across to end, FP into dc, turn work. (66 sts)

Round4- ch1 (don’t count as stitch), sc into same st, 1 sc in each ch across to end, 

turn work. (66 sts)

Round5- ch1 (don’t count as stitch),* skip next sc and crochet 1FP dc crochet around 

the dc below Skipped sc, dc in next st*, Repeat from * to* across to end, turn work. (66 sts)

Round6- ch1 (don’t count as stitch), sc into same st, 1 sc in each ch across to end, 

turn work. (66 sts)

Round7- ch1 (don’t count as stitch),* dc crochet in the next sc st, skip the next sc, and

 crochet 1FP dc around the next dc below skipped sc*, Repeat from * to *across to end,

Round8- 46: Repeat and follow the same work we have done in the Round 5, Round 6, 

and Round 7.

Measurement Approx. in clued the Rib Band.14.5 inches/ 37 cm

Sweater Back Panel Shoulders and Armhole:

Round1- slip st in each 3 sts, slip st in the next st, ch2(don’t count as stitch), * skip next sc 

and crochet 1FP dc crochet around the dc below Skipped sc, dc in next st*, Repeat 

from * to* across to end, skip last 3 sts and turn work.(60 sts)

Round2- skip 1st sc st, then continue make 1 sc in each st across, at the end make sc 2 together,

Turn work. (58 sts)

Round3- ch2 (don’t count as stitch), * skip next sc and crochet 1 FP dc crochet around 

the dc below Skipped sc, dc in next st*, Repeat from * to * across to end, turn work.

(58sts)

Round4- skip 1st sc st, then continue make 1 sc in each st across, at the end make sc 2 together,

Turn work. (56 sts)

Round5- ch2(don’t count as stitch), * dc crochet in the next sc st, skip the next sc, and crochet

1FP dc around the next dc below skipped sc*, Repeat from * to *across to end, turn work. 

(56 sts)

Round6- skip 1st sc st, then continue make 1 sc in each st across, at the end make sc 2 together,

Fasten off

Sweater Front Panels Shoulders and V- Neck shape:

divide stitches in half 33 sts left front neck and shoulder and 33 sts Right front shoulder

and neck.

Make Left front Panel shoulder and V-neck:

Round1- slip st in each 3 sts, slip st in the next st, ch2(don’t count as stitch), * skip next sc 

and crochet 1 FP dc crochet around the dc below Skipped sc, dc in next st*, Repeat 

from * to* across in each 30 sts, Leave/skip next 33 sts and turn work. (30 sts)

Round2- skip 1st sc st, then continue make 1 sc in each st across, at the end make 

sc 2 together, Turn work. (28 sts)

Round3- ch2(don’t count as stitch), * dc crochet in the next sc st, skip the next sc, and

crochet 1FP dc around the next dc below skipped sc*, Repeat from * to *across to end,

turn work. (28 sts)

Round4-Repeat and follow front neck line and shoulder Round 2. (26 sts)

Round5- ch2(don’t count as stitch), * skip next sc and crochet  1 FP dc crochet around 

the dc below Skipped sc, dc in next st*, Repeat from * to* across to end, turn work. 

(26 sts)

Round6-Repeat and follow front neck line and shoulder Round 2. (24 sts)

Round7- Repeat and follow front neck line and shoulder Round 3. (24 sts)

Round8- Repeat and follow front neck line and shoulder Round 2. (22 sts)

Round9- ch2(don’t count as stitch), * skip next sc and crochet  1 FP dc crochet around 

the dc below Skipped sc, dc in next st*, Repeat from * to* across to end, 

turn work. (22 sts)

Round10- skip 1st sc st, then continue make 1 sc in each st across, turn work. (21 sts)

Round11- ch2(don’t count as stitch), * dc crochet in the next sc st, skip the next sc, 

and crochet 1FP dc around the next dc below skipped sc*, Repeat from * to *across 

to end, turn work. (21 sts)

Round12- Repeat and follow front neck line and shoulder Round 10. (20 sts)

Round13- Repeat and follow front neck line and shoulder Round 9. (20 sts)

Round14- Repeat and follow front neck line and shoulder Round 10. (19 sts)

Round15- Repeat and follow front neck line and shoulder Round 11. (19 sts)

Round16- Repeat and follow front neck line and shoulder Round 10. (18 sts)

Round17- Repeat and follow front neck line and shoulder Round 9. (18 sts)

Round18- Repeat and follow front neck line and shoulder Round 10. (17 sts)

Round19- Repeat and follow front neck line and shoulder Round 11. (17 sts)

Round20- Repeat and follow front neck line and shoulder Round 10. (16 sts)

Round21- Repeat and follow front neck line and shoulder Round 9. (16 sts)

Measurement Approx. from the division of shoulders.8 inches/ 20 cm

Make Right front Panel shoulder and V-neck:

Round1- Rejoin yarn into next of neck right front, ch2(don’t count as stitch), * skip next 

sc and crochet1 FP dc crochet around the dc below Skipped sc, dc in next st*, Repeat

from * to* across in 30 sts right

Front neck and shoulder, skip un work last 3 sts, and turn work. (30 sts)

Round2- skip 1st sc st, then continue make 1 sc in each st across, at the end make sc 2 together,

Turn work. (28 sts)

Now continue from round 3- 26 follow the same work as we have done into left front shoulder and

Neck. Fasten off

Sew shoulders seems together into wrong side of sweater. Use needle for sewing, then sew the side of sweater both front and back panel.

Make Arm and neck band:

Make dc around the arm hole. Slip st. repeat 2 rounds front post and back post we have

 done for the sweater border band. Then finish off

Work: rejoin yarn into right front neck 1 st st, make dc around the neck , then across 

back side, then across left front to last st, then turn work.

Row2 of neck Band- ch1 hdc into same st, *make FP into next dc, BP into next dc *, 

repeat from * to *across the neck line, hdc into last st, turn work.

Row 3 of neck Band- ch1 hdc into same st, *make FP into FP, BP into BP *, repeat 

from * to * across the neck line, hdc into last st. fasten off then sew the band edging to

 attach the neck front. fainsh the sweate and weav all ends.
