This adorable easy baby hat design in new fashion, made for all sizes from 1 year to 12 years toddler sizes, i hope you can easily to change the size as you want to make for all kids boys /girls. you can make it in different colors larger or smaller. we explain below in my pattern in details for all sizes and also explain in details about all sizes in my video tutorial, i always want to bring easier pattern for all them and for beginners. watch

Item to be need:

80 Grams each Ball DK Weight  #4 yarn (16-20 = 4 inches)

Crochet hook: 4mm (G)

Size:      6-12 months/1-2 years/ 2-4 years/ 4-6 years/ 6-8 years/ 

8-10 years toddler size

Gauge:  4 half double crochet stitches x 2.5 Rows = 1 inch 

Height hat 1-2 years baby size- 7.5 inches/19 cm

circumference of hat : 14-15 inches

0-3 months        : Repeat 32 Rounds= 12-13 inches / 32cm

6-12 months         : Repeat 34 Rounds= 13-14 inches / 34 cm

1-2 years              : Repeat 36 Rounds= 14-15 inches / 36 cm

2-4 years              : Repeat 38 Rounds= 15-16 inches / 38 cm

4-6 years              : Repeat 40 Rounds= 16-18 inches / 40 cm

Toddler 6-8 years : Repeat 42 Rounds= 17-18 inches / 43-44 cm

Child 8-12 years   : Repeat 44 Rounds= 18-19 inches / 46 cm

 Special stitch:

     Popcorn stitch (make 4 double crochet into same stitch, then slip stitch into first double crochet)

1-2 years baby popcorn hat:

 Make Rib Band:

 Chains 19, hdc into 2nd ch from the hook, then make 1 hdc in each ch across,

turn work. (18 hdc)

 Round2-ch1 (don't count as stitch), make 1hdc into back loop in each 18 sts across,

turn work. (18 hdc)

 Repeat Round 2 until you have 36 Rows or until the Rib Band to fits your baby 

Head circumference, or follow the size chart.

Sew and join the Rib band together starting chains sts and the last 36 round sts,

do slip st in each 18 sts both together, then finish the rib band.

Starting with the Hat Pattern will crochet in rounds.

Round1- ch2, make 1 dc into the band edging around, slip st in the 1^st  dc to 

join the round. (62)

Round2- ch2 (don’t count as stitch),* make 1 dc in each next 6 sts, make 

popcorn st in the next st (see special st)*, Repeat from * to * around, slip st in the 

1^st dc to join the round. We have 9 popcorn.(62)

Round3- ch2 (don’t count as stitch),* make 1 dc in each st around, slip st in the 

1^st dc to join the round.(62)

Round4- ch2 (don’t count as stitch), make 1 dc in each next 3 sts,*make popcorn

 st in the next st (see special st), make 1 dc in each next 6 sts*,Repeat from * to * 

around, slip st in the 1^st dc to join the round. We have 9 popcorn.(62)

Round5- Repeat and follow Round 3 of hat. (62 )

Round6- Repeat and follow Round 2 of hat. (62 )

Fold the rib band in half and check the height of hat.

Measurement Approx include Rib Band. 6 inches/ 13 cm

Now start the decreasing.

Round7- (dec Round)ch2 (don’t count as stitch), *make 1 dc in each next 2 sts, 

dc 2 together next*, Repeat from * to * around, slip st in the 1^st dc to 

join the round.

Round8- ch2 (don’t count as stitch), make 1 dc in each next 3 sts,*make popcorn 

st in the next st (see special st), make 1 dc in each next 4 sts*,Repeat from * to * 

around, slip st in the 1^st dc to join the round.

Round9- (Dec Round) Repeat and follow Round 7 of hat.

Round10- ch2 (don’t count as stitch), make 1 dc in each next 2 sts,*make 

popcorn st in the next st (see special st), make 1 dc in each next 4 sts*,Repeat

 from * to * around, slip st in the 1^st dc to join the round.

Round11- (dec Round)ch2 (don’t count as stitch), *make 1 dc in each next st, 

dc 2 together next*, Repeat from * to * around, slip st in the 1^st dc to join 

the round.

Round12- (dec Round) Repeat and follow Round 11 of hat.

Fasten off and sew to close top opening. Sew a pom pom on top of the hat.
