100 grams #3 Yarn Purple Light DK weight (3ply wool- 5 double crochet = 1 inch)
Crochet hook size: 3.5 mm (E)
Size: Ladies /Girls Medium Size
Gauge: 5 dc x 2.5 row = 1 inch
Height of Hat : 8-9 inches/20 cm

Rib band Sizes: Circumference of Hat.
Adult Large: 9 – 9.5 inches
Adult Medium: 8 – 9 inches
Adult Small: 8 – 8.5 inches
Child: 7.5 – 8 inches
Toddler: 7.25 – 7 inches
12-24 months: 6.5 – 7.25 inches
6- 12 months: 6.25 – 6.5 inches
3-6 months: 6 – 6.25 inches
Make Rib band:
Make chains 22,
Row 1- dc into 4th ch from the hook, dc in each ch across, turn work.(20 dc)
Row 2- ch1 not count, make dc in each st into back loop 20 sts across, turn work.
(20 dc)
Row 3- 43: Repeat and follow Round2 of Band. (Medium size)
(small size- Row 3- 41) ,(Large size- Row 3-45)
Repeat Round 2 until you have 43 Rows or until the Rib Band to fits your
Head circumference.
For medium size I recommend 18-20 inches /46-48 cm in circumference for
woman and girls.
Sew and join the Rib band together starting chains sts and the last round 20 sts,
do slip st in each 20 sts both together, then finish the rib band.

Round1- ch1 not count, *make 1 dc in each next 5 sts, ch1*, Repeat from * to *
around the Rib Band edging, slip st in the 1st st to close the round,

Round2- ch1 not count, *make 1 sc in each dc 5 sts, skip chain space, ch1*,
repeat from * to * around, Slip st in the 1st st to close the round.

Round3- ch1 not count, make 1 dc in each 5 sts,*ch1, skip chain space, make
treble crochet front post into middle st of 5 dc group into previous Row, make
1dc in each middle 3 sc sts, then work again treble crochet front post into middle
dc st into previous row, ch1,skip ch-space, make 1 dc in each next 5 sc sts*,
Repeat from * to * around, slip st in the 1st st to close the round.
Round4- ch1 not count, *make 1 sc in each 5 sts,*ch1, skip chain space*,
Repeat from * to * around, slip st in the 1st st to close the round.
Round5- ch1 not count, make 1 dc in each 5 sts,*ch1, skip chain space, make

previous Row, make 1dc in each middle 3 sc sts, then work again treble crochet
front post into middle dc st into previous row*, repeat from * to * around,
slip st in the 1st st to close the round.
Round18- ch1 not count,* sc 2 together, 1 sc next st, in the next group of 5 sts
make sc next st, sc 2 together, 1 sc in each next 2 sts*, Repeat from * to * around,
slip st in the 1st st to close the round.
Round19- ch1 not count, *dc 2 together,ch1, skip chain space, make treble
crochet front post into middle st of 3 dc group into previous Row, make 1dc in
