Crochet Baby Jacket with Overalls OR Dungarees for Boys & Girls

Hello Friends and Followers! Today topic is crochet simple and easy Basic Baby Hooded cardigan jacket design with romper overall or dungarees in the pattern. This lovely and super easy baby Hood with bunny ears and also make simple romper for baby boys and girls, the pattern for 6-12 months size, we explain  all sizes in details in the pattern below and also explain in the video tutorial.
 i hope you can easily to change the size as you want to make for all little boys & girls. you can make it in different colors larger or smaller. we explain below in the pattern in details for all sizes and also explain in details about all sizes in my video tutorial, i always want to make easy pattern for all of them who are beginners.

Item to be need:

150 -180 Grams Light DK Weight  #3 yarn (5 stitches and 2.5 Rows = 1 inches)

Crochet hook: 3.5mm(E) Hook size

small buttons

 Size:   6-12 months Baby Hoodie jacket 

Gauge: 5 Double crochet stitches x 2.5 Rows = 1 inch 

 Pattern for gauge:  

Length from shoulder = 11 inches/ 28 cm

Chest size = 20 inches/ 51 cm

US TERMS ABBREVIATIONS:

c.         crochet

ch.       chain

sc        single crochet

hdc      half double crochet

dc.       double crochet

sts.      stitches

st.        stitch

slst.     slip stitch

Numbers of chains follow for the dress then divide in 4 parts.

0-3 months: chains 48,

3-6 months: chains 54,

6-12 months: chains 60,

12-24 months: chains 64,

2-3 Years chains 70, 

3-4 Years chains 78,

 Special stitch:

1.       1-Do stitch marker corner of chest (division)

2.       2-Ch3 count 1st double crochet

3.       3-Check out the size of chest then working for skirt, repeat more rounds for

              long dress if you would like.

Baby Hoodie Jacket with Bunny Ears 

Size 6-12 months:

Make chains 60, and then divide in 4 parts.

Round1: (Front) 1dc into 2nd ch from the hook, make 1 dc in each next 8 chains make corner

 into next ch (1dc, ch2, 1dc),(Shoulder) 1dc in each next 9 chains, make corner into next ch

(1dc, ch2, 1dc),(Back) 1dc in each next 19 chains, make corner into next ch (1dc, ch2, 1dc),

(2nd Shoulder) 1dc in each next 9 chains, make corner into next ch(1dc, ch2, 1dc),

(2nd Front) 1dc in each next 9 chains, turn work.

Round2: (Front) ch2 don’t count, make 1dc into back loop in each next 10 sts, make corner into 

middle of corner space (2dc, ch1, 2dc), (Shoulder) make 1dc into back loop in each next 11sts,

 make corner into middle of corner space (2dc, ch1, 2dc), (Back) make 1dc into back loop in each

next 21 sts, make corner into middle of corner space(2dc, ch1, 2dc),(2nd Shoulder) make 1dc into

 back loop in each next 11 sts, make corner into middle of corner space (2dc, ch1, 2dc),

(2nd  Front) make 1dc into back loop in each next 10 sts, 

turn work.

Round3: (Front) ch2 don’t count, make 1dc into back loop in each next 12 sts, make corner into

 middle of corner space (2dc, ch1, 2dc), (Shoulder) make 1dc into back loop in each next 15 sts,

 make corner into middle of corner space (2dc, ch1, 2dc), (Back) make 1dc into back loop in each

 next 25 sts, make corner into middle of corner space (2dc, ch1, 2dc),(2nd Shoulder) make 1dc into

 back loop in each next 15 sts, make corner into middle of corner space (2dc, ch1, 2dc),

(2nd  Front) make 1dc into back loop in each next 12 sts, turn work.

Round 4- 8 Repeat and follow the increasing Round 3.

Measurement approx from shoulder 4.5 inches/ 11 cm

Chest size complete 10 inches front and 10 inches back= 20 inches

Now divide stitches for armhole/sleeves.

Round9: (Front) ch2 don’t count, make 1dc into back loop in each next 24 sts,

 make 2 dc into middle of corner space, skip /miss the sleeves stitches, then

 make 2 dc into Next corner space, then make1 dc into back loop in each 49 sts

 back side across, make 2 dc into middle Of corner space, skip /miss

The sleeve stitches, then make 2 dc into next middle of corner space, then make

1 dc into back loop in each next 24 stitches in 2nd front. Turn work. 

We have (105 stitches)

Round10: ch2 don’t count, make 1 dc into back loop in each st around both fronts

 and back till the end, Turn work. 105 dc)

Round11- 24: Repeat and follow the same work we have done in Round 10.

Measurement from top to bottom 10.5 inches/ 27 cm

Make Border Band:

Round25: ch1 not count, make hdc into same st, make* Front post into next dc,

 back post into next dc*Repeat from * to * across till the end, hdc into last st, 

turn work.

Round26: ch1 not count, make hdc into same st, * make front post into next front

 post, and back Post into next back post*, repeat from * to * across till the end, hdc

 into last st, turn work.

Round27: Repeat and follow the same work we have done in Round 26 of border band. Fasten off

Make Hood of jacket:

Round1- join yarn into first st of neck line, ch2 don’t count, make dc in each next 

10 sts, then increase make 2dc into next corner st of neck line, and then make 

1 dc in each st across into shoulder sts, then make 2 dc into next  corner st of 

neck line, then make 1 dc in each st across into back side sts , then make 2dc

into next corner st, then make 1 dc in each st across into 2nd shoulder sts,

 then make 2dc into next corner, then make 1 dc in each st across second front,

 turn work.

Round2- ch2 don’t count, make dc into back loop in each st across the hood, and turn work.

Round3- 16: repeat and follow the same work as Round 2 of jacket hood.

Measurement from neck line- 7 inches/ 18 cm

Now close the hood top into work side, hold together and make a slip st into both stitches together

 and join and close the hood top. Fasten off

Make Front Button Band:

Round1- ch1 not count, make hdc into same st, make 46 hdc across into edging

 front line, then make 60 hdc across into hood edging, then make 46 hdc 2nd front

edging, till the end, turn work.

Round2: ch1 not count, make hdc into same st, make* Front post into next hdc,

 back post into next hdc* Repeat from * to * across till the end, hdc into last st, 

turn work.

Round3: ch1 not count, make hdc into same st, * make front post into next front post, and back

Post into next back post*, repeat from * to * across till the end, hdc into last st, turn work.

Round4: Repeat and follow the same work we have done in Round3 of button band. Fasten off

Make Bunny Little Ears x 2:

Row1- chains 9,2hdc into 2nd chain from the hook, hdc in each next 6 chains, 6 hdc into last ch,

Work into opposite side, make hdc in each next st, 2hdc into last st, slip st into 1st st.(22 hdc)

Row2- ch1 not count, hdc into next st, 2 hdc into next st, 1 hdc in each next 5 sts, 

2 dc into next St, 2 dc in each st into next 6 sts group, work into opposite side, 

2 dc into next st, 1 hdc in each next 5 sts, 1 hdc next st, 2 hdc into next st, 

slip st. (32 sts)

Change color:

Row3- ch1, sc in each 32 sts around the little bunny ears, slip st. fasten off

Sewing: sew and join little bunny ears on the hood top into correct point. 

Then finish off

Make sleeves x 2:

Round1- under arm middle of st rejoin yarn, make ch 3 we count, dc 2 together into next post of

Corner dc, then make 1 dc in each st into back loop around the armhole, then make 2 dc together

Into next post of dc into corner, slip st into beginning 3rd ch, turn work (dc 42)

Round2- ch3 we count, make dc 2 together one time, make 1 dc into back loop in each st around,

At the end make dc 2 together, and then slip st into beginning 3rd ch, turn work. (dc 40)

Round3- ch3 we count, make dc into back loop in each st around, slip st to join 

into 3rd ch, turn work. (dc 40)

Round4-13:Repeat and follow the same work we have done in the round 3 of sleeves.

Make cuffs band:

Round14: ch1 not count,* hdc 2 together, 1 hdc next st*, repeat from * to * around, slip st into ch.

Round15: ch1 not count, make* Front post into next hdc, back post into next 

hdc* Repeat from * to * till the end, slip st into ch.

Round16: ch1 not count,* make front post into next front post, and back  Post into

 next back post*, Repeat from * to * till the end, slip st into ch.

Round17: Repeat and follow the same work we have done in Round16 cuff band.

 Fasten off
