Wool:  #3 Medium Weight Light 

3 Ply wool Guage is (5 double crochet x 2.5 Rows in 1 inch) with

Hook sizes 3.5mm /E-4

Crochet hook size: 3.5 mm/ E-4

Mosaic pattern granny square:

Color A:

Make a magic circle OR make chains 5, slip st into first ch to make circle.

Now start Row 1 into circle.

Row1- ch1 don’t count, make sc 16 in the circle, slip st into first sc. (sc 16)

Row2- ch2 don’t count, make dc in each st around. Slip st into first dc. (dc 16)

Color B:

Row3- ch2 don’t count, 3dc into same st, *ch1, skip next dc, 3 dc next st*

Repeat from * to * around, ch1, slip st into first dc. We 8 groups pattern.

Color C:

Row4- ch1 don’t count, * make BLsc in each 3 dc sts, make 1 dc into dc st 1 step-down*,

Repeat from * to * around, slip st into first sc. And change color B

Color B:

Row5- ch2 don’t count, *make 1 FLdc in the dc st, 2 FLdc in next dc, 1 FLdc next dc st,

Ch 1, skip dc*, Repeat from * to * around. Ch1, slip st into first dc. And change color C.

Color C:

Row6- ch1 don’t count, * make BLsc in each 4 dc sts, make 2 dc into dc st 1 step-down*,

Repeat from * to * around, slip st into first sc. And change color B

Color B:

Row7- ch2 don’t count, *make FLdc in each next dc 2 sts, 2 FLdc in next dc, 1 FLdc next dc st,

Ch 2, skip 2 dc*, Repeat from * to * around. Ch 2, slip st into first dc. And change color C.

Color C:

Row8- ch1 don’t count, * make BLsc in each 5 dc sts, make 1 dc into dc st 1 step-down,

make 2 dc into next dc 1 step-down*, Repeat from * to * around, slip st into first sc.

And change color B

Color B:

Row9- ch1 don’t count, *make FLsc in the dc st, skip next dc, 5 FLdc in next dc, skip next dc,

1 FLsc next dc st, Ch 3, skip 3 dc*, Repeat from * to * around. Ch3, slip st into first dc.

 And change color C.

Color C:

Row10- ch1 don’t count, *make sc 1 step-down in the 5 sc sts, make FL sc in the next 3 dc sts,

Make sc in the next 5 sc sts 1 step-down, skip next dc, make corner next dc (3dc, ch2, 3dc),

Skip next dc*, Repeat from * to * 3 more times, slip st into first sc.

I have 4 corner in the square, and have 13 sc sts between in one side of square.

Row11- ch2 don’t count, make dc in each 13 sts, dc in each next 3 dc in corner sts, *make

Corner into middle of corner (3dc, ch2, 3dc), dc in each st in the next 19 sts between 2 corners*

Repeat from * to * across till end, at the end make dc in 3 dc sts in the 4^th corner, then slip st

To join into first dc. Fasten off

If you want to make larger size square repeat the increasing row 11 of square.

Fasten off and weave all ends.

80 Gram  #4 medium weight /DK Weight yarn (16-20 = 4 inches)

Crochet hook: 4mm (G/6)

 Size:     1-2 years (include more sizes)

Gauge:  4 single crochet stitches x 4 Rows = 1 inch

BBS – Beginning Border Stitch

BLO sc – Back Loop Only Single Crochet

EBS – Ending Border Stitch

RS – Right Side

Special Stithches:

Back Loop Only Single Crochet (BLO sc)

Insert hook in back loop of indicated st, yo and pull up a lp, yo and draw through both lps on hook.

Front Loop Only Double Crochet (FLO dc)

Yo, insert hook in front loop of st below the indicated st, yo and pull up a lp, yo and draw through two lps on hook, yo and draw through remaining two lps on hook.

Start with Ribbing:

with color A, Make chains 6,

Row1- sc into 2^nd chain from the hook, sc in each ch across, turn work. (sc 5)

Row2- chain1 we count sc. Sc into back loop in each next 4 sts, turn work. (sc 5)

Now changing size. 12 stitches pattern and count the rows.

6-12 months:       Repeat 60 Rounds= 15-16 inches / 38-40 cm (Hook size 3.5 mm/E-4)

1-2 years:            Repeat 60 Rounds= 15-16 inches / 38-40 cm (Hook sizes 4mm/G-6)         

Toddler & child:   Repeat 72 Rounds= 17-18 inches / 43-44 cm (Hook sizes 4mm/G-6)         

Adult Sizes:         Repeat 84 Rounds= 19-20 inches / 46-48 cm (Hook sizes 4mm/G-6)  

Sewing: close the Rib band, use needle for sewing, or crochet hook and slip st.

sew and join top 5 single crochet stitches to the beginning 5 chains.

Row3- with color A, (BLOsc x1, FLOdc x1, BLOsc x9, FLOdc x1), repeat around, BLOsc x1,

slip st in the 1st  st to close.( 60 stitches)

Row4- with color B, (FLOdc x1, BLOsc x2, FLOdc x7, BLOsc x2), repeat around, FLOdc x1,

slip st in the 1st  st to close.( 60 stitches)

Row5- with color A, (BLOsc x2, FLOdc x1, BLOsc x7, FLOdc x1, BLOsc x1), repeat around,

I have 2 sole for each shoe.

Joining: Now join and sew 2 soles together with a slip st, hold both sole together color A on top and 

color B in the bottom, make slip st in each both sole together. Fasten off

Top Part Booties:

Color A:

Row1- Rejoin yarn into middle of heel, ch1 don’t count, sc in each st around the sole, do slip st.

(sc 44)

Row2-3: ch1 don’t count, sc in each st around, do slip st. (sc 44)

Row4- ch1 don’t count, sc in each next 12 sts, make sc 2 together, *1 hdc next st, 2 hdc next st*,

Repeat from * to * 4 more times, make 2 sc together, sc in each 12 remains sts, do slip st. (37 sts)

Row5- ch1 don’t count, sc in each next 12 sts, make sc 2 together, *1 hdc next st, 2 hdc next st*,

Repeat from * to * 2 more times, make 2 sc together, sc in each 12 remains sts, do slip st. (32 sts)

Make front flap of the boot:

Work only in 5 sts in the middle.

Round1:          join the same color A, ch1, sc in same st, sc in each next 4 sts across, turn. (5 sc)

Round2-16:    ch1, sc in same st, sc in each next 4 sts across, turn. (5 sc)

Don’t fasten off sew the flap into the wrong side in the staring 5 sts, slst in each st. Fasten off

Make Heel back side of the shoe:

Color B:

Round1:     count and leave 5 sts from the last st of the flap join yarn in next st, ch1, sc in same st,

                    Sc in each of the next 16 sts, leave 5 sts un worked from the other side, turn. (17sc)

Round2:     ch1, hdc in same st, hdc in each next 16 sts across, turn. (17 hdc)

Round3:     ch1, sc in same st, sc in next each 16 sts across, turn. (17 sc)

Make strap for Right Shoe:

Round4:     make ch16, hdc into 4th ch, hdc in each ch across, hdc each 17 sts in the heel back of

Shoe. Sl st. sew a button on the corner right siding facing.

Fasten off

Make strap for the Left Shoe:

Round4:     ch1, hdc in same st, hdc in each next 16 sts heel back of shoe across, make chains 16 for

the strap, hdc into 4th ch, hdc in each ch across, sl st. and sew button on the corner.

Fasten off
