You might be wondering how you crochet a doily star motifs. Of course, there are many different ways to do it. US TERMS ABBREVIATIONS:

c.         crochet

ch.       chain

sc        single crochet

hdc      half double crochet

dc.       double crochet

sts.      stitches

st.        stitch

slst.     slip stitch

trb.       treble stitch

Dtr.  double treble crochet stitch

SPECIAL STITCH (DTR- Double Treble Crochet stitch) : 

Step 1-Yarn over three times on hook, 

step 2- insert hook into the st, yarn over again, and pull up a loop. You will have five loops on your hook, 

Step 3:  Yarn over and pull through the first two loops on the hook. You will have four loops on your hook,

Step 4: Yarn over and pull through again the first two loops on the hook. 

You will have three loops on  your hook.

Step 5: Yarn over and pull through once more through the first two loops on the hook. 

You will now have  two loops remaining on your hook, 

 

Step 6: Finally, yarn over again and pull through the last two loops on the hook,

 

Your double treble stitch is complete.

Items to be need:

 Light DK weight  wool( #3ply) 5 dc stitches x 2.5 Rows = 1 inches 

 Crochet hook size: 3.5 mm (E) Hook 

 Size:    5 inches small star motifs

Gauge:  5 dc x 2.5 Rows = 1 inch

Make Star Motifs Free Pattern:

Make a magic circle or chains to join and make small ring,

Now working into circle/ring.

Round1- ch1 don’t count, make 16 sc into circle, do slip st to join into 1^st sc st. (16 sc)

Round2- make chains 5 we count st, make (DTR) double treble crochet st into next st,

*Make chains 5, (DTR) double treble crochet into next 2 sts*, repeat * to * 6 more times, at the

End make chains 5, do slip st into beginning top of the ch5.( total 8 times)

Round3- ch1 count, make sc into next st,* make sc in each next 2 chains, 3 sc into next middle st

Into 5 chains group, make 1 sc in each next 2 chains, 1 sc in each next DTR sts*, repeat * to *

Around, slip st to join into ch1.

Round4- ch1 count, sc next st, *sc in each next 3 sts, 3 sc into next middle st of 3 sc group into

Previous row, sc in each next 4 sts, sc into next 2 sts*, repeat from * to * around, 

slip st to join into Beginning ch. Fasten off

Note: join 2 stars together into middle st of 3 sc sts last row 4 into vertices. See pictures above
