Hello Friends! I will show you my new project flower bouquet coaster/ table mat pattern free with video tutorial. I hope you would like and appreciate my new design for home décor, This fun and functional flower coaster set crochet pattern doubles as a cute decor piece and also as a beautiful flower bouquet table mat or bigger use for placemat. If you’ve been looking for the perfect handmade gift idea and love free crochet patterns – this one is for you!

This crochet flower coaster table runner set is the perfect addition to your space all year long in a variety of color combinations or as a handmade gift for Mother’s Day or Valentine’s Day. I have done the set for specially dining table.

For this project, I’m using light weight 3ply as it is my favorite both soft and light weight yarn. Mostly I use this for ladies cardigan and baby frocks,You can use any worsted-weight 4 cotton yarn will work for your coasters, however. It is best to use cotton yarn for coasters and trivets as it is better suited to high temperatures, unlike other yarns such as acrylic. If you are using your coasters purely for decorative purposes, feel free to use other yarn types!

Items to be need:

Wool: 160 grams #3 Light weight yarn (16-20 stitches = 1 inch)

Guage wool - 5 double crochet x 2.5 Rows = 1 inch

Hook size:  3 mm(D/3)

US TERMS ABBREVIATIONS:

c.         crochet

ch.       chain

sc        single crochet

hdc      half double crochet

dc.       double crochet

sts.      stitches

st.        stitch

slst.     slip stitch

FPdc.  Front Post double crochet

BPdc.  Back post double crochet

Pattern Notes

Skill Level – Advanced Beginner/Intermediate

Measurements: Diameter of circle Small coaster – 5 inches /13 cm

Bigger table mat is 14 inches / 36 cm

Mini Coaster Pattern:

Make magic circle, OR make chains 5, slip st into 1^st ch to make a small ring.

Row1- ch2dont count,  dc 12 into circle, slip st to join into 1^st dc. (dc 12)

Row2- (INC) ch2 don’t count, 2dc into same st, *ch1, 2dc into next st*, Repeat

From * to * around, at the end make ch1, slip st to join into 1^st dc.

We have 12 groups’ patterns

Row3: (INC) ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, 2dc into next st, *ch1, 1dc into next st, 2dc

Into next st*, repeat from * to * around, at the end make ch1, slip st to join into 1^st dc.

Row4- (INC) ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, 1dc into next st, 2dc into next st,*ch1, 1dc 

in each next 2 sts, 2dc into next st*, Repeat from * to * around, at the end make ch1, 

slip st into 1^st dc.

Row5- (INC) ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, 1dc in each next 2 sts, 2dc into next st,*ch1,

1dc in each next 3 sts, 2dc into next st*, Repeat from * to * around, at the end make ch1, 

slip st into 1^st dc.

Now stop increasing for mini coaster. Now we are making flower around the coaster.

Making Flowers:

Change green color:

Row1- ch1 don’t count, sc into same st, *ch3, skip next 2 sts, 1 sc into next st*,

Repeat from * to * around, slip st to join into 1^st sc. We have 24 chains-space

*Row2- ch2, make dc 10 into sc st, skip ch2, slip st into 1^st dc,

Row3-  into same st change color, Make ch1 don’t count, *dc into space between 2 dc,

make picot top of dc(ch3, slip st into same dc st)*, Repeat from * to* 9 more times.

Slip st to join into 1^st dc.

Working: into back side facing take green color into row1 of sc st, make ch1,

Now right side facing you, make 2 Sc  into next ch3-space of row 1, sc into next sc st,

3sc into next ch3-space, sc into next sc*.

Now repeat make a flower into same sc st, repeat pattern from * to * as we did in

Row2 and Row3 for making flower. Then follow same work around.

Make Bigger Sizes Table mat/Placemat:

in each next 2 sts, 2dc into next st*, Repeat from * to * around, at the end make ch1, 

slip st into 1^st dc.

Row5- (INC) ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, 1dc in each next 2 sts, 2dc into next st,*ch1,

1dc in each next 3 sts, 2dc into next st*, Repeat from * to * around, at the end make ch1, 

slip st into 1^st dc.

Row6-16: Repeat and follow increasing Row.

Note: Repeat increasing Row, You can make it smaller of bigger sizes Placemat or 

table cloth. Then follow same work around the coaster as we have done in the mini 

coaster pattern. make roses or other flowers around. Fasten off
