Items to be need:

Wool:160 Grams white #4 Medium Weight/DK weight 4 Ply (16-20 = 4 inches)

100 Grams Azure Blue #4 Medium Weight/DK weight 4 Ply (16-20 = 4 inches)

Hook size: 4mm (G-6) & 3.5 mm (E-4)

Baby Cardigan Size:    0-3 months. follow size chart bellow for more sizes.

Pattern Gauge:  4 double crochet stitches x 2 Rows = 1 inch with Hook size 4mm (G-6)

Lenght: cardigan jacket length from top to bottom: 13 inches/33 cm

chest size: 22 inches/56 cm

sleeve length from under arm to cuffs: 7 inches/18 cm

New Born: chains 48+1, divide for(8 front/ 8 shoulder/ 16 back/ 8 shoulder/ 8 front)

0-3 months: chains 52+1, divide for(8 front/ 9 shoulder/ 18 back/ 9 shoulder/ 8 front)

6-12 months: chains 56+1, divide for(9 front/ 9 shoulder/ 20 back/ 9 shoulder/ 9 front)

1-2 years: chains 59+1, divide for(9 front/ 10 shoulder/ 21 back/ 10 shoulder/ 9 front)

2-3 years: chains 65+1, divide for(10 front/ 11 shoulder/ 23 back/ 11 shoulder/ 10 front)

3-5 years: chains 69 +1, divide for(11 front/ 11 shoulder/ 25 back/ 11 shoulder/ 11 front)

Note: if you have any problem in the neck line width or length so,you can change hook sizes for changing.

2nd way for changing sizes add or less the rows of chest  or change hook sizes.

Measurement from shoulder which is 6 inches/ 15 cm

Measurement chest size which is 9.5 inches/24 cm front and 9.5 inches/24 cm back panel.

Next row we are joining front to back panel in chest.

Jacket Body:

Color B:

Row1- ch2 not count, dc into same st, dc in each st across to next corner, make 2dc into 

middle st of corner, leave/skip next Sleeve stitches, make 2dc into next middle of corner st, 

then make dc in each st across in back panel, then make 2dc into next middle of corner st, 

leave/skip 2nd sleeve stitches, make 2dc into next middle of corner st, then make dc in each 

st across in the 2nd front. turn. (we have Both Front + back= 80 stitches)

Wrong side facing of jacket,

Row2- ch1 don’t count, make sc into same st, sc in each st across, turn. (sc 80)

Color A:

Right side facing of jacket,

Row3-  ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, dc into next st, *1 FPdc (front post double crochet)

1 step down in double crochet of row 1, 1 dc into next st*, repeat from * to * across, dc into 

last st, Turn work,(80)

in row 3 Remember to always skip one st “behind” FPdc, when working your dc’s,

so that st count stays the same.

Wrong side facing of jacket,

Row4- ch1 don’t count, make sc into same st, sc in each st across, turn. (sc 80)

Color B:

Right side facing of jacket,

Row5- ch2 don’t count, *1dc, 1 FPdc (front post double crochet) 1 step down in the 

double crochet of row 3*, repeat from * to * across, 1 dc in each last 2 sts, turn work. (80)

Remember to always skip one st “behind” FPdc, when working your dc’s, so that st 

count stays the same.

 Row6-22: Repeat and follow pattern from Row 2 to Row 5 as we have done in sweater body.

Changing color after every 2 Rows.

Measurement from under arm is 6.5 inches/ 16-17 cm

Row23-  ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, dc into next st, *1 FPdc (front post double crochet)

1 step down in double crochet of row 21, 1 dc into next st*, repeat from * to * across, dc 

into last st, Turn work,(80)

Make Ribbing Border of Jacket:

Color A::

Change hook size 3.5 mm,

Row1- ch1 don’t count, hdc in each st across, turn. (hdc 80)

Row2-3: Repeat Row 1 of sweater Ribbing. Fasten off

Measurement from shoulder which is 13 inches/33-34 cm

Make Right Front Button Band:

Color A:

Row1- with hook size 4mm, ch1, make hdc 46 in each st edging front across from down 

to top, turn. (hdc 46)

Row2-3: ch1 not count, hdc in each st across till end.(hdc 46)

Make Left Front Button Band:

Color A:

Row1- ch1, make hdc 46 in each st edging front across from top to down, turn. (hdc 46)

Row2- ch1 not count, hdc in each next 8 sts, *make ch1, skip next st for button hole,

Make hdc in each next 8 sts*, repeat from * to * across till end, at the end make 1 hdc into 

last st, Turn. We have 5 buttonholes in the row.

Row3- ch1 not count, make hdc in each st across till end, turn. (hdc 46).

Fasten off

Make sleeves:

Color B:

Row1- join yarn under arm ch, ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, make dc 2 together, 

Make 1 dc Into next corner st, then make dc in each st around armhole, at the end of 

corner make dc, dc in next Post of dc,  Slip st join into dc. Turn work. (dc 32)

Wrong side facing sleeve:

Row2- ch1 don’t count, sc in each 32 dc stitches around, slip st join into sc, turn work. (sc 32)

Color A:

Right side facing sleeve:

Row3- ch2 don’t count, *1dc, 1 FPdc (front post double crochet) 1 step down in the 

double crochet of row 1*, repeat from * to * around, do slip st join into dc. (32 stitches)

Wrong side facing sleeve:

Row4- ch1 don’t count, sc in each 32 dc stitches around, slip st join into sc, turn work. (sc 32)

Row5- ch2 don’t count, *1 FPdc (front post double crochet) 1 step down in double crochet 

of row 3, 1 dc into next st*, repeat from * to * around, slip st join into dc. Turn. (32 stitches)

Row6-19: Repeat and follow Pattern from Row 2- Row5 of sleeves.

Make Ribbing Border Sleeves:

Slip st into 1st st to join.
