The main stitch pattern is  double crochet front post two together and double crochet (dc) — both give a neat, smooth texture and work up quickly. You can also add ribbed cuffs and hemline by using front and back post double crochet stitches for a modern finishing or make another pattern to your choice, finish the jacket with simple double crochet button band with bigger button holes. for nice finishing you can change edging design.

Wool: 400-450 grams #4 DK weight OR Medium weight 4ply wool (16-20 Stitches = 4 inches)

Crochet hook : 4 mm (G/6)

Size:  Adult women medium Chest Size:  38-40

Gauge:  4 double crochet x 2 Rows = 1 inch

Length: cardigan jacket from shoulder: 25 inches/63-64 cm

changing for Sizes: you can be use smaller or larger hook to change for other sizes.

please notice: that important thing of measurement for ribbing band of Sweater before starting, 

X- small: Front + Back chains 144 Divide (Front 32/ Armhole 8/ Back 64/ Armhole 8/ Front 32)

Small:     Front + Back chains 152 Divide (Front 34/ Armhole 8/ Back 68/ Armhole 8/ Front 34)

Medium: Front + Back chains 160 Divide (Front 36/ Armhole 8/ Back 72/ Armhole 8/ Front 36)

Row2-  ch2 don’t count, 1 dc in each st across, turn. (dc 160)

Row3- ch2 don’t count, 1 dc in each 6 sts, *make FPDC 2 Together (See special stitch)

around Post of next dc, 1 dc into next st*, repeat from * to * across, at the end make 

dc in each 6 dc sts, turn.(160)

Row4- ch2 don’t count, 1 dc in each st across, turn. (dc 160)

Row5- ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, 1dc into next st, ch2, skip next 2dc, dc in each next

2 sts, *make FPDC 2 Together (See special stitch) around Post of next dc, 1 dc into next st*,

repeat from * to * across, at the end make dc in each 6 dc sts, turn.(160)

Row6-11: Repeat Pattern Row 3 and Row4.

Row12- Repeat pattern Row 5 Buttonhole Row. (160)

in the next 25 sts, at the end make dc in each hdc 5 dc sts, turn.(36 stitches)

Row2- ch2 don’t count, 1dc in each st across, at the end 8 sts, make 2dc together, 1 dc in

each 6 sts, turn. (35)

Row3- ch2 don’t count, 1dc in each 6 sts, skip next st, *make FPDC 2 Together

Row4-17: Repeat pattern decreasing 2 rows as Row 2 and Row 3 of neck front panel.

Back Neck & Armhole:

Working only back panel 72 stitches.

Row1- Right side facing from the last stitch front panel as we have done before, skip

Row4- 17: Repeat pattern as Row 2 & Row3 of back panel neck and armhole. Fasten off

Front Neck & Armhole:

Working only front panel 36 stitches.

Row1- Right side facing from the last stitch back panel as we have done before, skip 

next 8 sts Under armhole, Rejoin yarn in the next st front panel marked st, ch2 dc in each 

next 6 sts, *make FPDC 2 Together (See special stitch) around Post of next dc, 1 dc into

Row2-17: Repeat and follow same decreasing as we have done in the other front panel 

as we have done before. Only decrease one stitch in each row before neck band in the front.

Fasten off

Measurement Approx from division armhole which is 8.5 inches/ 22-23 cm

Sewing and Finishing:

Work: in the wrong side of sweater sew shoulder seems together front to back. Then make

Sc across the front edging band and armhole edging. Sew buttons on the band. Fasten off
