Special Stitches:

1.         Treble crochet: One you chain one as your turning chain, find the third single crochet in the first row. Yarn over two times for a treble crochet and insert the hook around that third single crochet. The post is basically the vertical part of the stitch, and you’re going around the entire stitch. Complete the treble crochet.

2.         Front post Treble Crochet two Together: Next it’s time to make a front post treble crochet two together. To do this, yarn over two times and insert your hook through the same single crochet post from the last FPTC. Work the treble crochet up to the point that you have two loops on your hook. Do not complete the TC.

Skip the next three single crochets from row one. Yarn over two times and insert your hook around the post of the fourth single crochet. Work the treble crochet up to the point that you have three loops on your hook. Yarn over and draw it through all three loops to complete the FPTC2Tog.
