Items to be need:

Wool: complete baby set 400 grams.

Beanie 80 Grams #4 DK Weight OR Medium Weight 4 ply(16 stitches= 4 inch)

Guage: 4 Ply wool is (4 single crochet x 4 Rows  =1 inch) with

Hook sizes: 4mm OR (G-6)

Beanie Size: 6-12 months

 Pattern for gauge:  

Length from top =7 inches/ 18 cm

Circumference of hat 6-12 months size =15-16 inches/ 38-40 cm

changing for Sizes: you can be use smaller or larger hook to change for other sizes.

please notice:  important thing of measurement  hat/beanie ribbing (Circumference) before starting down-top, or you can make foundation chains same measurement of ribbing. 

0-3 months:     Ribbing Size 52 Rows= 13 inches-33cm

3-6 months:     Ribbing Size 54 Rows= 14 inches-35cm

6-12 months:   Ribbing Size 60 Rows= 15 inches-37cm

1-2 years:        Ribbing Size 64 Rows= 16 inches-39cm

3-5 years:        Ribbing Size 68 Rows= 17 inches-41cm

Toddler & Small Child : 

Child 6-12 years:  Ribbing Size 70 Rows= 17.5 inches

X- small size:   Ribbing Size 72 Rows= 18 inches

Small size:        Ribbing Size 76 Rows= 18.5 inches

Medium size:    Ribbing Size 78 Rows= 19 inches

Large  size:       Ribbing Size 80 Rows= 20 inches


making Baby Beanie 6-12 months free pattern: 

Start from Ribbing:

Color A:

Make chains7,

Row1- sc into 2nd ch from the hook, sc in each ch across, turn. (sc 6)

Row2- ch1 count as sc, sc into back loop only in each next 5 sts, turn. (sc 6)

Row3- 60: Repeat and follow Ribbing Row 2.

now you can increase or decrease rows of neck ribbing of more sizes.

6-12 months:   Ribbing Band Size 60 Rows= 15 inches-37cm

join with slip st ribbing in the wrong side 6 sts to beginning chains 6 sts.

Start sweater from top-down and work in the rib band neck edging.

work: ch1 count, make sc in each st evenly across the rib band edging.

Turn. (sc 60)

Color B:

Row1- ch2 don’t count, make dc in each st around, slip st into dc. (dc 60)

Row2- ch2 don’t count, make dc into same st, *make FP dc into next dc, 1dc

Into next dc st*, repeat from * to* around, slip st into 1st dc. (60)

Color A:

Row3- ch2 don’t count, *make FP dc into dc st, make dc into next FP dc st*,

 Repeat From * to * around, join with a slip st into 1st st. (60)

Row4- ch2 don’t count, *make dc into FP dc st, make FP dc into next dc*,

repeat from * to* around, slip st into 1st dc. (60)

Row5-11: Repeat and follow same pattern as Row 3 & Row 4. Change colors

For every 2 Rows.

Measurement Approx include ribbing- 6 inches/15cm

Row12- ch2 don’t count, *make dc 2 together around 60 sts, slip st. (dc 30)

Finishing: use needle and piece of yarn sew and join top of beanie, make pom pom

And sew on top of hat. Fasten off  weave all ends.
