  • This design has start from back panel down to top, then work circular
  • Concentration is required for the first few rows, and some row pattern repeat is established, relax and enjoy!
  • Gauge is not important but I have included gauge for the bolero jacket
  • chains 3 we count double crochet

    Shell: (5 double crochet in same st or space)

    v-stitch:    (1 double crochet, ch3, 1 double crochet)

 Items to be need:

 250 grams #3 Light weight yarn (3ply wool- 5 double crochet = 1 inch)

Gauge of wool (5dc stitches x 2.5 Rows = 1 inch with Hook size 3.5 mm (E-4)

 Crochet hook size: 3.5 mm (E-4)

Girls Bolero Jacket Toddler sizes /5-8 years 

Back Panel:

Make chains 46,

Row1- ch3 count dc, dc into 4th ch from the the hook, dc in each ch across, turn. (dc 44)

Row2- ch3 count dc, ch4, skip next dc, dc into next st, *ch 1, skip next dc, dc into next st*,

Repeat from * to * across, dc into beginning 3rd ch, turn. (44 sts)

Row3- ch3 count dc,*make dc into ch-space, dc into next dc*, repeat from * to * across,

Dc into beginning 3rd ch, turn. (dc 44)

Row4- 23: Repeat Pattern Row 2 & Row 3.

Measurement Approx. 10 inches/26 cm

Make Armhole:

Row1- make first armhole chains 50, leave side of back panel, connect and join with a slip st  in the

 back panel first Row corner st, make chains 4, skip next dc, dc into next dc, *ch 1, skip next dc, dc

 into next st*,Repeat from * to * across, make chains 50 for 2nd armhole, then connect and join with

a slip st in the back panel row 23 corner st, then Repeat from * to * across till next corner, slip st,

Start Circular Patten:

Now start working in round.

Row1- Make first v-st in the next ch (1dc, ch3, 1dc), *skip next 3 chains armhole, make 

v-st next st*, repeat from * to * across the armhole chains, [then make v-st into next 

ch-space, Skip next ch-space, make v-st into next ch-space], then repeat from [ to ]same 

work across the bottom till next Corner, then pattern from * to * in the 2nd armhole 

chains 50 till next corner, then follow pattern From [ to ] across till next corner, then join 

row with a slip st into beginning dc of v-st. slip st nextMiddle of v-st space,

Row2- make shell into v-st space ch3 count dc, then make 4 dc into same space, *make

shell(5dc) Next middle of v-st space*, repeat from * to * around the jacket, then join row 

with a slip st into Beginning 3rd ch. Slip st in each next 2 dc of shell.

Next row start in the middle st of shell.

Row3- make first v-st into same st chains 6, dc into same st, *make v-st next middle st of shell

(1dc, ch3, 1dc)*, Repeat form * to * around the jacket, then join row with a slip st into beginning

3rd ch, slip st into next middle of v-st space,

Next row start in the middle space of v-st.

Row4- Repeat and follow Row 3 of circular pattern.

Row5- make first v-st into same st chains 6, dc into same st, *make ch1, then make v-st 

next middle st of shell (1dc, ch3, 1dc)*, Repeat form * to * around the jacket, then join row 

with a slip st into beginning 3rd ch, slip st into next middle of v-st space. Next row start in 

the middle space of v-st.

Row6- make shell into v-st space ch3 count dc, then make 4 dc into same space, *make ch 1, then

make shell (5dc) next middle of v-st space*, repeat from * to * around the jacket, then join row

with a slip st into Beginning 3rd ch. Slip st in each next 2 dc of shell.

Next row start in the middle st of shell.

Row7-8: Repeat and follow Row 5 & Row 6 of circular pattern.

Row9- make first v-st into same st chains 6, dc into same st, *make ch2, then make v-st next

 middle st of shell (1dc, ch3, 1dc)*, Repeat form * to * around the jacket, then join row with 

a slip st into beginning 3rd ch, slip st into next middle of v-st space.

Next row start in the middle space of v-st.

Row10- make shell into v-st space ch3 count dc, then make 4 dc into same space, *make 

ch 2, then make shell (5dc) next middle of v-st space*, repeat from * to * around the jacket,

then join row with a slip st into Beginning 3rd ch. Slip st in each next 2 dc of shell.

Next row start in the middle st of shell.

Row11- Repeat pattern Row9.

Row12- Repeat pattern Row10.

Row13- Repeat pattern Row9.

Make Lacy Pattern:

Next row start in the middle space of v-st.

Row14- ch5, sc into 3rd ch, (make dc, ch2, sc into post of dc), repeat 4 more times same

work, * make a sc next middle of ch-space between v-st, make 6 times (dc, ch2, sc 

post of dc)*, repeat from * to * Around the jacket. Then slip st to finish off.

Finishing: finish with long lace to attach in the front on both side. Knot together. 

Fasten off
