Items to be need:

Wool: complete baby set 400 grams.

Pant/Trouser 150 Grams #4 DK Weight OR Medium Weight 4 ply(16 stitches= 4 inch)

Guage: 4 Ply wool is (4 single crochet x 4 Rows  =1 inch) with

Hook sizes: 4mm OR (G-6)

Pattern Gauge:4 single crochet x 4 Rows =1 inch with Hook sizes 4mm OR (G-6)

Baby Pats/Trousers size: 6-12 months

Length from waist to crotch : 7 inches/ 18 cm

Length from crotch to leg cuffs- 9 inches/23 cm

Length from waist to leg cuffs:  16 inches/41 cm

changing for Sizes: you can be use smaller or larger hook to change for other sizes.

please notice:  important thing of measurement for waist ribbing of pants before starting, or you can make foundation chains same measurement of ribbing sizes. 

0-3 months:     Waist Rib Band Size 60 Rows= 15-16 inches/36-38cm

3-6 months:     Waist Rib Band Size 64 Rows= 16-17 inches/38-40cm

6-12 months:   Waist Rib Band Size 68 Rows= 17 inches/40-42cm

1-2 years:        Waist Rib Band Size 74 Rows= 17-18 inches/41-44cm

3-5 years:        Waist Rib Band Size 76 Rows= 17.5-18 inches/44-46cm

Toddler & Small Child : 

Child 6-10 years:        Waist Rib Band Size 80 Rows= 19-20 inches/48-50cm


Baby Pants/Trousers 6-12 months pattern:

Start from Waist Ribbing:

Color A:

Make chains7,

Row1- sc into 2nd ch from the hook, sc in each ch across, turn. (sc 6)

Row2- ch1 count as sc, sc into back loop only in each next 5 sts, turn. (sc 6)

Row3- 68: Repeat and follow Ribbing Row 2.

now you can increase or decrease rows of waist ribbing for more sizes.

6-12 months:   Waist Ribbing Band Size 68 Rows= 17 inches-40-42cm

join with slip st ribbing in the wrong side 6 sts to beginning chains 6 sts.

Start pants from top-down and work in the waist rib band edging, increase stitches

In the single crochet row.

work: ch1 count, *make a sc in each 6 sts, make 2 sc into next st*, repeat from * to*

around, slip st into sc. (sc 78)

Color B:

Row1- ch2 don’t count, make dc in each st around, slip st into dc. (dc 78)

Row2- ch2 don’t count, make dc into same st, *make FP dc into next dc, 1dc

Into next dc st*, repeat from * to* around, slip st into 1st dc. (78)

Color A:

Row3- ch2 don’t count, *make dc into FP dc st, make FP dc into next dc st*,

 Repeat From * to * around, join with a slip st into 1st st. (78)

Row4- ch2 don’t count, *make FP dc into next dc, 1dc into next FP dc st*,

repeat from * to* around, slip st into 1st dc. (78)

Row5-13: Repeat and follow same pattern as Row 3 & Row4. Change colors

For every 2 Rows.

Measurement Approx include ribbing- 7 inches/18cm

Divide for Legs:

39 stitches Right Leg and 39 stitches for Left Leg Part.

1st Leg:

Color B:

Row1- ch2 don’t count, *make dc into FP dc st, make FP dc into next dc st*,

Repeat From * to * around in 39 sts 1st leg, leave/skip next 39 sts for second leg,

join with a slip st into 1st st. (39 sts)

color A:

Row2- ch2 don’t count, *make FP dc into next dc, 1dc into next FP dc st*,

repeat from * to* around, at the end make dc 2 together, slip st into 1st dc. (38)

Row3- ch2 don’t count, *make dc into FP dc st, make FP dc into next dc st*,

Repeat From * to * around, join with a slip st into 1st st. (38)

Color B:

Row4- ch2 don’t count, *make FP dc into next dc, 1dc into next FP dc st*,

repeat from * to* around, join with a slip st into 1st st. (38)

Row5- ch2 don’t count, *make dc into FP dc st, make FP dc into next dc st*,

Repeat From * to * around, join with a slip st into 1st st. (38)

Row6-17: Repeat and follow same work as Row 4 & Row5 in 1st leg.

Color A:

Row18- ch1 don’t count, sc into same st, *2sc together, 1 sc into next st*, repeat

From * to* around, join with a slip st into 1st sc. (sc 26)

Make Ribbing Leg cuff:

Right side facing leg cuff, into same st start work for ribbing,

Make chains 7 for rib band,

Row1- make sc into 2nd ch from the hook, make sc in each next 5 chains, now we

have 6 sc,

Do slip st in each next 2 sc sts in the row of leg cuff, turn work, (sc 6)

Row2- skip the 2 sl st, sc into back loop only in the next 6 sts, (6 sc), make ch1

And turn work.

Row3- ch1 count as 1st sc, sc in each next 5 sc into back loop only, (6 sc)

attach the row of your  ribbing to the row of sc by making a sl st into the next

2 stitches. Turn your work. (6 sc)

Row4-26: Repeat and follow Ribbing Row 2 & Row 3.

Sewing: in the wrong side, sew with a slip st 6 sc stitches of row 26 to the

beginning ch6 sts.

Fasten off and weave all ends 

2nd Leg:

Work: join yarn color B into next st from last st 1st leg, then follow same

Work as we have done in the 1st leg. from row1 to leg cuffs repeat and contine.

Change colors for every 2 rows of pattern. Fasten off

Make Tie Lace:

Work: make chains 200, slip st in each ch across, then insert tie lace in the waist

Ribbing, sew the gape in the middle of crotch between 2 legs. Finish off weave all ends.
