Crochet Baby Star Blanket- Pattern Details
1- Star in the center: Begin the blanket from the center using
magic ring or circle.
2- First Round: Work the required stitches into the center ring
and create the first star
Points like pentagon shape.
3- Increase for Star Points: At each star point, work the
required increase stitches into the
same space to form the points.
4- Star Each Round: Star each round in the middle of a corner.
5- Repeat the Pattern: Repeat the same increase pattern in
every round. The blanket
will gradually Grow while maintaining the star shape bigger or smaller
sizes.
6- Keep Increasing: Continue adding rounds until the blanket
reaches your
desired size.
7- For Different Sizes: For a smaller or larger blanket, simply
stop earlier to measure with
Measuring tap for body size of blanket.

and customizable to larger sizes

measurements are approximate with medium weight 4ply yarn and hook size 4.0mm. You can make your blanket smaller or larger by

Step 1– Start the Center Star Blanket
just like (Pentagon shape)
Begin the
blanket in the center using the yarn and crochet hook of your choice.
Make your
starting chain 5 and join it carefully to the first ch. Work the first round
into
the center according to the stitch pattern shown in the video tutorial.
Make sure your stitches are not too tight because the center
needs to lie flat.

Measure Approx. From one edge to edge - 11 inches/ 28 cm
Keep checking your work after every round. The blanket
should gradually spread outward while maintaining the star shape, for more
sizes repeat increasing row.
0-3 months- Repeat the increase row for (11 Rows)
3-6 months- Repeat the increase row for (12 Rows)
6-9 months- Repeat the increase row for (14 Rows)
9-12 months- Repeat the increase row for (15 Rows)
Continue repeating the pattern until your blanket reaches
the size you want.
For newborn cocoon/Sleep Sack, you can stop once you reach
the measurements needed for a newborn as shown in the video tutorial. For a
larger baby blanket, continue adding rounds.
Tip:
Measure your blanket regularly instead of relying only on the number of rounds
because different yarns and crochet tension can produce different sizes.

Size- In the last row, we have 21 double crochet stitches on each
side.
Now, repeat the decrease row separately on each of the 5
sides.

the Edging Back Panel:

corner, make 20 sc along the other side of the edging from
bottom to top*.
Repeat from *to * around the back panel to create the edging
nice and smooth. Fasten off

the Edging Front Panel :
Work:
*Make 1 sc in the top of the stitch at the side. Then make 20 sc along the side
of
the edging from top
to bottom. In the corner, make 3 sc together in the middle ch 3 of
corner, make 20 sc along the other side of the edging from
bottom to top*.
Repeat from *to * around the 3 sides front panel, then make
1 sc in each st across the
neck edging.
Joining
and Sewing:
Place the front panel
and back panel of the Baby Star Blanket with the right sides
facing
out. Join the two panels together around the edges.
Work slip stitches
through both the front and back panels, joining each stitch together.
Then a attach the hood
to the blanket. Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Make
the Tie Lace
Chains 80. Slip st in each chain across. Fasten off
Weave the lace through the front-post and back-post stitches
of the hood. Make
2 pom-poms and attach one to each end of the tie lace.
Fasten off and weave in all remaining ends.
