Crochet Baby Poncho -Capshawl- New Pattern for Girls Easy Poncho OR Capshawl

Hello Friends and Followers! Today topic is my new project for winter crochet toddler girls Poncho/capshawl pattern, we have done and completed new design for fall and winter season. beautiufl poncho free pattern with  tutorial. i hope you will love and apperciate my new design for childrens and toddlers . explain in details in the pattern below,showing with the  same in my 

video tutorial. . you can change sizes make it with different colors according to your choice larger or smaller sizes for kids and girls also can chage for adult ladies and womans. we explain below in my pattern for all sizes as you want make, we mention about for all sizes in my video tutorial to give you most easier to understand the pattern.

instrutions: We use two colors Medium weight #4 yarn /DK weight 4ply with 4mm

(G-6) crochet hook for the project of cardigan sweater, Size of the poncho is 3-5 years little girls, we mention below in the pattern more sizes. we add new and beautiful stitch for the pattern, it’s very easy to start from top-down, we mention below about all sizes, next Project will come another super crochet patterns. so, you can follow my other crochet ideas we mention the links.

Item to be need:

we use 250 Grams #4 Medium Weight/DK 4 Ply (16-20 = 4 inches)

Hook size 5mm (H-8)

Size:      3-5 years Little Girls/toddlers

Pattern Gauge:  4 double crochet stitches x 2 Rows = 1 inch with Hook size 5mm (H-8)

poncho length from top to bottom : 14-16 inches / 40-42 cm

US Terms ABBREVIATIONS:

c.          Crochet

ch.        Chain

sc         Single crochet

hdc       Half double crochet

dc.        Double crochet

sts.       Stitches

st.         Stitch

sl st.      Slip stitches

sc tog    Single crochet 2 together

dc tog    Double crochet 2 together

FP dc     Front post double crochet

Bp dc     Back post double crochet

follow size chart for changing Toddler poncho/capshawl

1-2 years:  chains 60 , Hook size 4mm (G-6)

3-5 years:  chains 60, Hook size 5mm (H-8)

6-10 years: chains 72, Hook size 5mm (H-8)

Small Sizes 12-18 years: chains 78, Hook size 5mm (H-8)

Ladies Medium & Large Sizes: chains 90, Hook size 5mm (H-8)

Crochet poncho free pattern:

Size 3-5 Years: Make chains 60, do slip st into first ch.

Round1- ch1 don’t count, hdc in each ch around, do slip st into first hdc. (hdc 60)

 

Round2- make corner v-st, ch6, dc into same st, ch3 count dc,*skip next 2 sts, make

v-st (dc, ch3, dc) into next st*, repeat from * to * across 8 more times, skip next 2 sts and make corner

v-st into next st ,make(1dc, ch3, 1dc, ch3, 1dc), repeat * to * across 9 times, at the end skip next

2 sts, make dc into beginning corner v-st, ch3, do slip st into 3^rd ch.

Mark middle dc in the both corners.

 

Round3- ch2 don’t count, front post dc into ch3 previous round, mark up the middle front post dc,

3dc into next ch-space, front post dc next dc of v-st,*make front post next dc of v-st, 3dc into next

Ch-space, front post dc of v-st*, repeat from * to * across 8 more times, work into next corner,

Front post next dc of corner v-st, 3dc into nex ch-space, front post next middle dc of corner v-st,

3dc into next ch-space of corner, front post into next dc of corner v-st, repeat form * to * across

9 times, work in the next corner; make front post next dc of corner, 3dc next ch-space,

Do slip st into beginning middle front post of corner v-st.

 Mark middle front post dc of corner both v-sts for the poncho.

 

Round4- make corner v-st, ch6, dc into same st, ch3 count dc,*make v-st(1dc, ch3, 1dc) into next

Middle dc of previous round 3 dc group*, repeat from * to * across 10 more times,

work into next corner marked st, make(1dc, ch3, 1dc, ch3, 1dc), repeat * to * across 11 times,

work into next corner, make dc into beginning corner v-st, ch3, do slip st into 3^rd ch.

Mark middle dc in both corners.

Round5- Repeat and follow Round 3 of poncho.

Change color B:

Round6-15: Repeat and follow Round 3 & Round 4.

Change color A:

Round16-17: Repeat and follow Round 3 & Round 4.

Change color B:

Round18-21: Repeat and follow Round 3 & Round 4.

Change color A:

Round22-23: Repeat and follow Round 3 & Round 4.

Change color B:

Round24-27: Repeat and follow Round 3 & Round 4.

Fasten off and make Fringe around the poncho.
