Today topic is my new project for winter crochet Baby Cardigan Coat with full set baby pants, hat and booties for 6-12 months sizes, we have done and completed full baby set for little girls new design in winter season include baby top sweater cardigan coat with shoes,pants,and hat. i hope you will love and apperciate. explain in details in the pattern below,showing step by step with the  same  video tutorial. 

you can be easily to change for all sizes as you want to make for babies larger or smaller. you can make with different colors according to your choice larger or smaller sizes for kids. we explain below in my pattern for all sizes as you want make, we mention about for all sizes in my video tutorial to give you most easier to understand the pattern.

Easy Crochet Baby Pants/Trouser or Legging Tutorial

instrutions: We use Medium weight #4 yarn or Double Knit weight wool 4ply with 4mm(G-6) crochet hook for this baby  Cardigan coat/ jacket, Size of the baby caridgan jacket 1year, we mention below in the pattern. we added shells simple stitch for the pattern, it’s very easy to start, we mention below about all sizes, next Project will come another super baby patterns. so, you can follow my other crochet ideas we mention the links below.

Items to be need:

Wool: (400) Grams #4 Medium Weight or DK Weight 4 Ply (16-20 = 4 inches)

Hook size 4mm (G-6)

Buttons

full set Size :   6-12 Months

Pattern Gauge:  4 double crochet stitches x 2 Rows = 1 inch with Hook size 4mm (G-6)

Baby Cardigan Coat complete measurement.

coat jacket from top to bottom length: 13-14 inches/36 cm

chest size baby Cardigan/coat: 22 inches/58 cm

sleeve length from under arm to cuffs: 7 inches/18 cm

please notice: you can use any of wool and any of hook size. but we mention about little

 measurement for the sizes.

follow size chart for changing baby caot jacket:

0-3 months: chains 46, divide for(8 front/ 7shoulder/ 16back/ 7shoulder/ 8 front)

3-6 months: chains 52, divide for(9 front/ 8 shoulder/ 18 back/ 8 shoulder/ 9 front)

6-12 months: chains 60, divide for(10 front/ 10 shoulder/ 20 back/ 10 shoulder/ 10 front)

12-24 months: chains 64, divide for(11 front/ 10 shoulder/ 22 back/ 10 shoulder/ 11 front)

Baby Cardigan Jacket Free Pattern:

6-12 months: Make chains 60, divide for(10 front/ 10 shoulder/ 20 back/ 10 shoulder/ 10 front)

Row1- dc into 2nd ch form the hook, make 1 dc in each next 8 chains(Front) make v-st 

(dc, ch2, dc) into next ch, make 1 dc in each next 9 chains(Shoulder), make v-st 

(dc, ch2, dc) into next ch, make1dc in each next 19 chains (Back), make v-st (dc, ch2, dc) 

into next ch, make 1 dc in each next 9 Chains (Shoulder), make v-st (dc, ch2, dc) into 

next ch, make 1 dc in each next 9 chains (Front),

Turn.

Row 2- ch2 don’t count, dc in the next 10sts, make v-st (dc, ch2, dc) in the middle space of corner,

dc in the next 11sts, make v-st (dc, ch2, dc) in the middle space of corner, 1dc in the next 21sts,

make v-st (dc, ch2, dc) in the middle space of corner, dc in the next 11sts, make v-st (dc, ch2, dc)

in the middle space of corner, 1 dc in the next 10sts,

Note: in the next row will close the chest, we are joining front to back panel.

Row11- ch2 don’t count, dc in the next 19 sts, make chains 6 under arm, leave/skip 29 dc sleeves,

 join front to back make 1 dc next middle of corner space, then make dc in each st across back

 1dc in the next middle of corner space, chains 6 under arm, leave/skip 29 dc for second sleeve,

 make 1dc in the next corner space, then make dc in each st across front, turn.

Continue to make skirt below:

Row1- ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, skip next st, *make v-st (dc, ch2, dc) in next st,

Skip next 2 sts, make shell (5dc) in next st*, repeat from * to * across till end, dc into last st,

Turn work. We have 30 groups (15 v-sts & 15 shells)

Row2- ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, *make v-st (dc, ch2, dc) into middle st of previous row,

Make shell(5dc into next middle ch2 space of v-st*, Repeat from * to * across till end, dc into

Last st, turn work. We have 30 groups (15 v-sts & 15 shells)

Row3- 12: Repeat and follow Pattern Row 2 of skirt.

Make Ribbing Band:

Row1- ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, *dc in each next 5 dc sts in shell, dc into next dc

Of v-st, dc in next middle space of v-st, dc in next dc of v-st*, Repeat and follow from * to *

Across till end. Turn.

Row2- ch1 don’t count, hdc into same st, *make FP dc into next dc, BP dc into next dc*,

Repeat from * to * across till end, hdc into last st.

Don’t cut the yarn, start work for button ribbing front panel.

Make Buttonhole Ribbing Band Front Panel:

Row1- Right side facing you, in the corner st start work from down to top, ch1, sc

Avenly across the edging front panel, turn. (sc 44)

Row2- ch1 don’t count, sc in each next 2 sts, *make ch1, skip next st, sc in each next

8 sts*, repeat from * to * across till end, turn. (44 sts)

Row3- ch1 don’t count, sc in each st across till end. Fasten off

Make Button Ribbing Band Front Panel:

Row1- Right side facing you, in the corner st start work from top to down,

Ch1 don’t count, sc evenly across the edging left front panel, turn. (sc 44)

Row2- ch1 don’t count, make sc in each st across till end, turn. (sc 44)

Row3- repeat Row 2 of ribbing band. Fasten off

Make Jacket Collar:

Row1- Wrong side of jacket, leave button band 3 sts, rejoin yarn in next st,

Ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, skip next 2 sts , *make v-st (dc, ch2, dc) in next st,

Skip next 2 sts, make shell (5dc) in next st*, repeat from * to * across till end, dc into last st,

Leave button band 3 sts, Turn work. We have 18 groups (9 v-sts & 9 shells)

Row2- ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, *make v-st (dc, ch2, dc) into middle st of previous row,

Make shell(5dc into next middle ch2 space of v-st*, Repeat from * to * across till end, dc into

Last st, turn work. We have 18 groups (9 v-sts & 9 shells)

Row3- 4: Repeat and follow Pattern Row 2 of collar. Fasten off

Make Jacket Sleeves on both side:

Color A:

Row1- Right side facing under arm middle st join yarn, ch2 don’t count, dc into same st,

Work 1 dc2tog across the post of next dc, dc into next corner space of v-st, 1 dc in next 31

Sts, make dc into corner space of v-st, dc2tog across post next dc, slip st into first dc. (dc 36)

Color B:

Row2- ch2 don’t count, dc into same st, dc2tog in next 2 sts, dc in dc around,

At the end make dc2tog in the last 2 sts, slip st into first dc. (dc 34)

Color A:

Row3- ch2 don’t count, dc in each st around, slip st into first dc. (dc 34)

Change color B:

Row4- 11: Repeat and follow Row 3 of sleeves. (dc 34)

Change color for each Row.

Color B:

Row12- ch2 don’t count, *dc2tog next 2 sts, 1 dc next st*, repeat from * to * around,

Slip st into first dc. (dc 22)

Color A:

Row13- ch2 don’t count, dc in each 22 dc around, slip st into first dc. (dc 22)

Row14- ch1 don’t count, *make FP dc into next dc, BP dc into next dc*, Repeat from * to *

Around, slip st into first dc. Fasten off

Finishing: sew buttons 15mm or 16mm on the front panel ribbing band.

Weave all ends. Fasten off
