You might be wondering how you crochet a doily like round table runner. Of course, there are many different ways to do it. That’s the fun part of crochet doily patterns! Each design brings something unique to the table. the pattern just like as doily patterns most are worked in the round. Items to be need:
Double Knit wool #4. gauges of wool (4 double crochet stitches x 2 Rows =
1 inches
Crochet hook size: 4 mm (G) Hook
Size: medium circular tablemat/place mat
Gauge: 4 dc x 2 Rows = 1 inch
Circular table Runner/Tablemat Pattern:
Color A:
Make chains 5, slip st into first chain make a small
circle or make magic circle.
Round1- ch3 we count dc, make 13 more dc into circle, do
slip st to join into first dc. (14 dc)
Round2- ch3 we count dc, make dc into same st, repeat 2
dc in each dc around, do slip st
To join into first dc. (28 dc)
Round3- ch3 we count dc, *make 2 dc into next st,1 dc
into next st*,Repeat from * to * around,
Do slip st to join into first dc. (42 dc)
Change color B:
Round4- ch1, *make dc into next st, ch2, make cluster (3
double crochet together) around post of
Dc, skip next dc*, repeat from * to * around, do slip st
to join into top of ch2.
Round5- ch1 don’t count, *make dc into next middle space of clusters, ch2, make (cluster)
3 double crochet together around post of Dc, skip next cluster*, repeat from * to * around,
do slip st to join into top of ch2.
Change color A:
Round6- ch3 we count dc, make 1dc in each next 2 chains of cluster, make dc into next st
of cluster, Make dc into next middle of 2 clusters*, repeat from * to * around, do slip st to join into
beginning 3rd ch.(84 dc)
Round7- ch3 we count dc, make 1 dc in each next 4 sts, *make 2 dc into next dc, 1 dc in each
next 5 dc sts*, repeat from * to * around, do slip st to join into beginning 3rd ch.(98 dc)
Round8- ch3 we count dc, make 1 dc in each next 5 sts, *make 2 dc into next dc, 1 dc in each
next 6 dc sts*, repeat from * to * around, do slip st to join into beginning 3rd ch.(112 dc)
Change color B:
Round9- Repeat and follow Round4.
Round10- Repeat and follow Round 5.
Change color A:
Round11- ch3 we count dc, make 1 dc in each next 4 sts, *make 2 dc into next dc, 1 dc in each
next 5 dc sts*, repeat from * to * around, do slip st to join into beginning 3rd ch.(164 dc)
Round12- ch3 we count dc, make 1 dc in each next 9 sts, *make 2 dc into next dc, 1 dc in each
next10 dc sts*, repeat from * to * around, do slip st to join into beginning 3rd ch.
Round13- ch3 we count dc, make 1 dc in each next 10 sts, *make 2 dc into next dc, 1 dc in each
next 11 dc sts*, repeat from * to * around, do slip st to join into beginning 3rd ch.
Stop the increasing for medium size table mat. If you like more large size so, change color B for
clusters 2 rounds then repeat and follow Round 4 & around 5, and then change color A for repeat
3 double crochet increasing rounds.
Make
Edging Round Tablemat.
Row 1- *make chains 6, skip next 5 dc, slip st next post of dc*, repeat * to * around, do slip st
to join Into 1st ch.
Change color B:
Row 2- join yarn into middle space,* make shell into same
space (ch2, 5dc, ch2, 5dc, ch2, slip st),
Make slip st into next ch-space*, Repeat from * to *
around, do slip st to join into top of ch2.
Change color A:
Row 3- ch1 don’t count, *make back post dc in each next 5
dc sts, ch2, make back post dc in each
Next 5 dc sts, make sc into slip st previous row*, repeat
from * to * around, do slip st into first dc.
Fasten off
