 #4 Medium Weight  /Double Knitt 4 Ply 

Guage is (16-20 stitches = 4 inches)

Hook size 4mm (G-6)

Size:      3-6/ 6-12 months

Pattern Gauge:  4 double crochet stitches x 2 Rows = 1 inch with Hook size 4mm (G-6)

Sole size 3-6 months- 4 inches/10 cm

Sole size 6-12 months- 4.25 inches/ 11cm

0-3 months: chains 10/ Size of sole length 3.5 inches/ 9 cm (hook 4mm/G-6)

3-6 months: chains 11/ Size of sole length 4 inches/ 10 cm (hook 4mm/G-6)-4)

6-12 months: chains 12/ Size of sole length 4.25 inches/ 11 cm (hook 4mm/G-6)

12-18 months: chains 13/ Size of sole length 4.5 inches/ 12 cm (hook 4mm/G-6)

Baby Buckle Shoes:

Make Sole 3-6 Months Baby:

Color A:

Sole x 2:

Make chains 11,

Row1- make 2 hdc into 3rd ch from the hook, make 1 hdc in each next 7 chains,

Make 5 hdc into last ch, work opposite side, make 1 hdc in each next 7 sts, make 2 hdc

Into last st, do slip st top of ch2. (hdc 24)

Row2- ch2 count hdc, make hdc into same st, 2 hdc in each next 2 sts, 1 hdc in each next

7 sts, 2 hdc in each st into 5 hdc group sts, work opposite side, make 1 hdc in each next 7 sts,

Make 2 hdc in each last 3 sts, do slip st top of ch2. (hdc 34)

Row3- ch1 don’t count, sc into same st, 2 sc next st, 1 sc next st, 2 sc into next st, 1 sc next st,

2 sc into next st, make sc in each next 4 sts, hdc in each next 3 sts, *2 hdc next st, 1 hdc into next

st*, repeat * to * 4 more times, hdc in each next 3 sts, sc in each next 4 sts, make 1 sc next st, 

2 sc next st, 1 sc next st, 2 sc into next st, do slip st into first sc. (44 sts)

Measurement of sole is 4 inches/ 10 cm

Color B:

Sole X 2:

Repeat and follow the same work as we did for sole.

I have 2 sole for each shoe.

Joining: Now join and sew 2 soles together with a slip st, hold both sole together color A on top and 

color B in the bottom, make slip st in each both sole together. Fasten off

Top Part Booties:

Color A:

Row1- Rejoin yarn into middle of heel, ch1 don’t count, sc in each st around the sole, do slip st.

(sc 44)

Row2-3: ch1 don’t count, sc in each st around, do slip st. (sc 44)

Row4- ch1 don’t count, sc in each next 12 sts, make sc 2 together, *1 hdc next st, 2 hdc next st*,

Repeat from * to * 4 more times, make 2 sc together, sc in each 12 remains sts, do slip st. (37 sts)

Row5- ch1 don’t count, sc in each next 12 sts, make sc 2 together, *1 hdc next st, 2 hdc next st*,

Repeat from * to * 2 more times, make 2 sc together, sc in each 12 remains sts, do slip st. (32 sts)

Make front flap of the boot:

Work only in 5 sts in the middle.

Round1:          join the same color A, ch1, sc in same st, sc in each next 4 sts across, turn. (5 sc)

Round2-16:    ch1, sc in same st, sc in each next 4 sts across, turn. (5 sc)

Don’t fasten off sew the flap into the wrong side in the staring 5 sts, slst in each st. Fasten off

Make Heel back side of the shoe:

Color B:

Round1:     count and leave 5 sts from the last st of the flap join yarn in next st, ch1, sc in same st,

                    Sc in each of the next 16 sts, leave 5 sts un worked from the other side, turn. (17sc)

Round2:     ch1, hdc in same st, hdc in each next 16 sts across, turn. (17 hdc)

Round3:     ch1, sc in same st, sc in next each 16 sts across, turn. (17 sc)

Make strap for Right Shoe:

Round4:     make ch16, hdc into 4th ch, hdc in each ch across, hdc each 17 sts in the heel back of

Shoe. Sl st. sew a button on the corner right siding facing.

Fasten off

Make strap for the Left Shoe:

Round4:     ch1, hdc in same st, hdc in each next 16 sts heel back of shoe across, make chains 16 for

the strap, hdc into 4th ch, hdc in each ch across, sl st. and sew button on the corner.

Fasten off
